You are really making me want to paint a banner even thoughI have no reason to do one! But that is incredible work, sir. Cannot wait to see what this will go on.

Thanks for sharing. I have to do some freehands for my many banners. Things such as Slaaneshi gors with claws and a face on their banner which is left daemon, on the right half of the face a beautiful lady, blood knights (legion etc.) I am no good at this but I can practice.

im lacking a good idea what to do at the bottom of the flag though, dont really like the idea och the lord of change hovering in space. original idea was to fade out the bottom of her skirt but i dont want to do that anymore.

Are you going to have some kind of border or edging around the banner?

yeah, there are sculpted border. i probably should paint that to begin with and see how it look

As much as I dislike the sculpted banner trend (and don't get Elly started on it), often times they are too much work to remove without destroying the banner/cape. So yeah, I'd probably give it a coat and see where that takes you.

You could try make it look like she(or he?) is standing on a galaxy. I think that would be pretty cool. But I don't know anything about it fluff wise so, it's just an idea

Sculpted banners exist to make it less intimidating for tabletop painters. But I think every box should come with 2 banners, one with no detail sculpted. But I don't think GW really cares about people who are solely into the painting, but want customers who will buy full armies, and paint them quickly so they can buy new armies.
As for the banner, you could have him standing on a cracked earth, lava field type surface. Or, since it is a Tzeentch dude maybe not worry about it, they are magic. Or being the warhammer world just have it standing on a pile of skulls.

i believe it is a banner from a space marine set, just cut of the bottom of it and the purity seals. works fine for me - saves some time anyway
