Yes, few can pull it off like him. The sword especially is to die for. Or from ;)

Could I ask, if you have a moment Skel, what materials did you use for the base at the top of the page? Including the base itself. How did you cut it out like that?

Your up and coming blog looks pretty legit. Looks like a top notch painting crew. I wish I had a painting crew :( We would be so gnarly. We'd roll around with customized paint brushes with decorative carrying cases. We would have a trademark, like extremely bloody severed heads in ALL of our paintings. Something like that. You guys need a trademark. We would have a Sensai that we all listen to and take advice from, though he isn't officially in our crew. Like Master Splinter to the Ninja Turtles. Hmm...maybe Dragonsreach will be our Master Splinter...

Anyway, Godspeed!

Nice. Love the hands and helmet and sword. There is a lot going on in that small space. Everything else looks great too.

Although his left leg looks a little weird to me. Maybe a little too much highlight?

well Skel, Im going to have to practice some TMM as I have a few scale games(scale 75) minis coming later this year. Always neat to see what you're up too. The foliage and touches on the base look great.

Nice bases. What are the tiles made off?

You can download the "Living Rulebook" for Necromunda for free from GW's homepage. If you want the old hardcopy, with the old rules I don't know though. We normally run a mix between the living rulebook and the old rules. Maybe I should come over and beat you with my orlocks some day (although they're not original GW minis ;P ).

Talking about this base. Did you use real earth? Are those rocks made from cork? How did you dig away so much of the base? Etc...I just thinks it's a fine base...damn fine!!!

Ahh good ole necromunda. That was one hell of a game. I wish I had people to play it with but sadly, I don't so all my junk collects dust and makes the jump to ebay. Im not sure if my wife put my books up on ebay yet but I will send you a PM if she has or when she does. (Its the hard back version of everything)

BoK, thanks! the base is made by plasticard cutouts, then filled with cheap air drying clay, here is the only wip shot of that i believe, just below the sewing machine ;)
the rocks are obviously bark from wood, and yeah... real dirt is the best! together with some roots n different material.

oh yeah, and the tiles are not milliput, but premade tiles that came in a bag... crap i cannot find them, but i bought them at www.ministuff.se !
they are pretty easy to cut, i suspect its plaster.

digganob, thanks id be happy if you did :)

finn, i cannot play against non gw minis... lol! had been cool! :good:

Never thought of that. I truly thought you cut and hollowed out a socket. Looks like he just crawled out if his hole. You built the base 2 years ago. This one took awhile, huh? Anyhow, thanks for the explanation.

Premade tiles? We all know you could have just made them on your own if you wanted. Nevertheless, they look good.

yeah. but not that long. i had a 23 month break hehe, just been "hotting" him up a bit lately, the piece was semi-finished for german gamesday 2012, where it was finalist. actually, i painted it for a step by step handout there as i held a small painting demonstration at gamesday, but it was cancelled because i accidently mentioned i used some vallejo paints. d'oh! :)

finn, serious? i feel this use of irony disturbing :D yeah, id love to play sometime! i suspect your gang has leveled to millions though? hehe... but oc i cant play against non-gw minis helloooo... anarchy next! ;) seriously couldnt care less.

ischa, you can play with space marines, but you get a naked one with a boot for the same cost (in points) as a whole necromunda gang :D someone told me necromunda is on imperial fists home planet? i know nothing about this though. anyway, 10-12 miniatures is perfect to me, even if "whatyouseeiswhatyouget" is pretty important, which make you need more models (or mod them) if you want to buy different gear.

i really like that every mini is its own character, with flaws and benefits.

ofc he´s not finn^^ i´d love trying necromunda some time, can you play with "regular" space marines?

I have two gangs so you can borrow one of mine.

It is set on the planet of Necromunda in Hive Primus. The reason I asked if you're serious is some people actually don't want to play with or against minis that aren't GW. Either way, I have created my teams following the rules in the Living Rulebook and they're all starter teams of 1000 p each (working on a third team as well, Arbiters). I had some minis lying around so I figured I'd do some conversion work and paint them up to make them suitable for Necromunda. The plan is to play with my gf and bonus daughter, but I have yet to build terrain, so that's gonna have to wait.

Like I said the teams use a mixture of rules so if you're ok with an Escher team with a Telepath and a Pit Slave, and an Orlock team with a Pit Slave and a Ratskin Scout I'm pretty much good to go (Orlocks are ready, one mini left to paint in the Escher team, and Arbiters aren't painted yet at all).

EDIT: Actually, ischa, I just remembered I have an extra Orlock team that is unpainted. I bought the new released Orlocks from GW and started some minor conversion work, so apart from the Heavy missing his lower right arm (just the lower arm. He's still got his hand :D ) it's ready for painting pretty much. You can have it for a beer if you like. ;) Or if you have any 25/28 mm fantasy minis lying around that you won't be using, we can trade.
