The quality of the painting beggars belief. Must admit one of the highlights of my year is getting to see Dave's work at Golden Demons.

Yeah, man, I can see why you're feeling a little self-conscious about that base. Really pretty bad, obviously.
They might as well start running Silver Demon tournaments in England, because... well, you know. I love to see your work progress, even if I just sort of gawk at it stupidly and wonder how you did that.

I'm keeping an overall view underwraps untill he is mounted on a plynth but for the time being the Megaboss is done! So here are some views of the amended base. I may tweak the blood a little as I'm still not 100% happy with it, but the changes will be subtle.

I want to say 'thank you' to everyone who has commented on this project! I may not always appear to take notice of everyones sugestions. But all of them ,even the ones I don't agree with, contribute in some way to the 'creative process'.

Such a sublime piece, jaw dropping in execution.
The only thing not working for me is the severed neck, it seems a little flat. Maybe some fresh sinew in there to depict a fresh kill which would fit with the fresh saliva still in place.

While it seems ridiculous to criticise anything you do Sproket, I'd have to agree with the above. It seemed a little deeper and bloodier in the last set of photos you posted.

Still unbelievable though

Great livid, ashen skin tones on the severed human heads. They're sort of lovely.

What an odd thing to say.

The piece is bonkers, of course.

I figured out the size & shape of the plinth I wanted for my Megaboss but was unsure how to go about getting one made up. Then my partner suggested that one of his colleagues, a woodworking teacher, at school might be able to help out.
We gave him the details yesterday and to my great surprise & delight he went off and made a couple of plinths to my exact spec last night! Looks like I've stuck gold with this contact as he has done a really good job on them. But then a Megaboss demands no less!

Excellent and congrats on this new fellow helping you with the bases . I'm sure you'll use him from now on...btw your last several models you've won and competed in GOLDEN DEMON WITH are really unparalleled ...your on such a roll..keep em coming we're all enjoying this.

She looks great!
I have mixed feelings.

1) I applaud your decision! Getting out of your comfort zone is a great way to grow and has helped me in leaps and bounds!
2) Stop growing damnit! The rest of us are already struggling to even reach your level -_-
