ahh did that with black once.

nothing overly stupid really, just the average drilling and cutting into my hand. spilled black masonary paint over the carpet. glued a belt buckle to the carpet when i spilled, didn\'t realise that the superglue was leaking and when i tried to pick up the belt in the morning, it was baically in a big plastic blob!

My other accident: I stripped some minis off their paint in a jar with acetone. When I wanted to pick the minis out I could\'t get through the hole with my hands, so I picked a long balsawood stick. While trying to balance the minis one by one to the opening with pressing the mini between stick and jar wall, the wood stick suddenly slipped down from the mini against the jar, ...

Better learn how to properly use chopstick then. :D

ooh, ooh! Me sir! *waves arm*

(Quite a) Few years back I overturned a large pot of superglue, which due to my \"lightning\" reflexes, I caught on it\'s way to the carpet. Brilliant! No glue on the carpet, I thought to myself...
However on lifting my hand and returning the pot to the table, I noticed the glue had run roughly from my fingertips, all along my hand, wrist and up my forearm.
I had managed to glue all of my fingers together, my watch to my wrist and my sweater to my arm!
I quickly found out that very warm water and washing up liquid was useful in separating my fingers and releasing my garments.
However, I hadn\'t spotted the other bit of overspill on my other hand and glued my other hand to the washing up liquid bottle...

Also snapped a paint lid shut on more than 1 occasion spraying myself in the face, which is fine until you answer the front door with splashes of blue around your mouth and nose

my g/f just started painting, and i was letting her use some of my vallejeo paints. She picked up the blue and oppened it, trying to pour some into a small pot to use.. nither of us knew until it happened that the nozzle was blocked. and we both ended up having bright blue freckles the rest of the night. ended up refering to it as smurf syndrome.
still doesnt beat superglued mouth :p

I just did this today in the morning.

I have several needles out in the workstation in the garage. They\'re not labelled but I color coded them and they\'re full of lighter fluid (for mig pigments), turpentine, and water for cleaning the airbrush and diluting paint. Also, they\'re great for shooting smack. I went to grab the syringe with water and couldn\'t remember the stupid ass color coding system I was using, so to determine if it was water or not I shot a couple drops worth onto my tounge. Yep, that\'s lighter fluid all right. Tastes awful and is at least a little poisonous.

from now on, labels!

My best is the lesson that taught me to limit animal access to my workroom.

Whilst painting, my \"curious\" kitty climbed my chair to watch over my shoulder. The flick-flick of the brush attracted her attention.

She dove for it, and wiped out 3 open tubs, a palette, broke 6 miniatures, spilled my paint water, my superglue, and launched a tin of bits into the wall to scatter like frag.

All in all the fuzzball cost me about $75 in damages, missing bits, ruined desk, etc.

My workroom now has a screen door.
My g/f thought it was odd, until I recounted the tale, and she has seen Marey (Nightmare) clinging to it whilst I paint.

I\'ve also drilled a finger, tasted paint, glued things to the deskpad, drank paint water, dropped minis...etc.

It\'s half the fun of painting! It wouldn\'t be a respectable hobby without the element of frustration. If it wasn\'t fun and funny, it\'d be work!lol

Not a painting one but its the only one I think is funny.

I was in the process of putting glue on to piece\'s of a model before sticking it together and then my cat jumped up onto my desk, so I made a fuss of him and then very nicely :innocent: pushed him off.
I then went about putting the rest of the model together and then I realized there where some piece\'s missing, so I looked around the desk and on the floor. I fund one bit and then my mum called and said to come down. So I went down stairs and fund that three bits were stuck to the cat, very well.

So you can guess it was fun trying to get them back.

Well, im extremly clumsy when it comes to these kinds of things!

Just to name a few of the misses I\'ve done throughout my career as a brushholder:

Almost drilled through my testies (a really close one... well...as you could imagine. it was with a dremel no less, on full speed!)

And when i had a really tiny desk i flipped that one over regularly.

The clogged vallejobottle is a classic! My old window and blinds where covered with Scar red lol !

And what else? My lamp... That one seems constantly destroys things, either by falling onto my workspace or i bump my head on it, the bad thing with the bumping is that i always seem to have a brush somewhere in my hair so it always crashes into the lamp aswell.

Hehe, thats pretty much what happens when you are careless i guess! But gosh darnit, does it not make painting more interesting and fun?

Hmm I did get a little high from inhaling superglue fumes while working on my destroyed tank terrain (not on purpose). Got dizzy and puked on my carpet.... fun times.

I sometimes put glue on a piece of plasticard, stick it to the orks tank and than use a lighter to bend it over ... the glue caught fire and some of it driped into my wastebasket... it was filled with tisue paper and did burn very fast...

I glued my forhead to the desk... eh working till 5 in the morning...

I started priming my Orks Boss with roughcoat...

Oh and I\'m dropping every single small bit under my table... I spend more time on the floor than at my desk.

Oh well let me see, i have:

Fallen asleep with a tube of superglue in my pocket and spent then next day trying to remove my trousers and boxers from my leg.

Put a brush in paint and then popped it in my mouth for no apparent reason (bleached bone is like bad cheese)

Got fairy power spray in my eyes while stripping (minis:D)

Last night i finished my latest mini, sat back, went to put my brush behind my ear and poked myself so hard in the right eye I went blind for a bit.

A bit off topic but I have seen an old friend paint a full unit of DE executioners then during his first game with them fumble a catch of a thrown tape measure, somehow knock it higher in the air and then volly slam it perfectly into the middle of this pristine unit.
He still hasnt found all of the swords lol

Oh my my my. Every time this topic pops up I get the same thought. As much as I\'d like to meet some of you in person, it might be safer to stay away.

That, or I just need to paint more and match some of the great achievements that you all have accomplished.

I too have dropped a blade into my leg whilst cleaning up a fig, the thing is that i just put a new blade in a few moments before, taped it up and carried on working. got told i was an idiot by my wife when i got home.

But the best thing ever was when a former \'eavy metal painter (they will not be named) had just finished his beloved high elf dragon and then went off to the spray room to varnish it (with a proud look on his face) but picked up a can of chaos black instead! hey presto, he sprayed the whole front of it black!

disclamer- this was NOT me! :)

I know what that feels like. I was working on my battle wagon back when there were none, about 4 years ago now, and I was shaving some plastic areas off of the land cruiser I was using as a skeleton for my wagon and I cut deep into my right pointer finger. It was gushing blood for about a minute then suddenly stopped. What is worse is I severed a nerve so for about 2 years I had no feeling in the right side of my finger. Pretty crazy.
