Nope for me it\'s got to be Peter Kay, and Lee Evans............and can watch them a millions times and still cray laughing.

Our grub has to be the best in the world, warming and hearty............where else can you eat Clotted Pig\'s Blood, Stuffed Sheep\'s stomach, and Seaweed only in the UK

I\'ll tell you one good thing:

You can sell your house and make enough money to bugger off somewhere much quieter and more peaceful and buy a house outright. No mortgage!

I\'m tired of rat-racing. Time to opt out I think....

Bill Bailey rocks! I\'m introducing my colleagues to his particular brand of humour. (I currently live and work in Japan, and my coworkers are all American, Australia and Canadian.)

Good things about the UK:
1) We can pronounce things properly! IT\'S ALUMINIUM!!!! (I have this argument on a regular basis with an American friend...)

2) We\'re very polite. And good at queueing, too, according to this book I read. Dunno if we should be proud of that tho.

3) We have a pretty cool accent actually.

4) Marmite. Nuff said. :D

Best thing about the Uk is Geordies lol

Have you noticed no matter where you go in the world you will find a Geordie giving his point of view, normally in a pub over a pint or 10 :drunk:

well I was watching the Science channel the other day

and when the Super Eruption known as Yellowstone erupts, The UK wont get showered in large particles of hot ash, just a light dusting

that\'s got to be good for something!

Aye, but we\'ll all be in the same boat as far as a worldwide ash cloud goes. We\'re all doomed!
That reminds me, another great thing about the British is our cheerful optimism lol

lol I swear if you watch science TV for too long, and you start to think the world WILL find a way to kill you within the next week, it\'s just a matter of picking which method.

It\'s similar to how med students get convinced they have every disease in the book at one time or another perhaps?

I just stick to mythbusters now! Do they send that over to UK? If yes...then that\'s 1 good thing! :D

I like my optimism with a pinch of cynisism and a smattering of doubt!
God bless morale!
And Erics right! After watching cruel planet once I baracaded the doors and hugged a shotgun for...I forget how long it was. When they found me I\'d lost about 4 stone..and conciousness.
I now associate hospitals with heaven! Ahhh, if it wasn\'t for that one troll, i could have sworn the nurses were angels...

If you are at Gamesday, Remind me to clip your lugs for that one.

Geordies are very tolerant of most thing but that was waaaay below the belt.

Luckily(?) it\'s my wedding anniversary so I won\'t be there for my well deserved beating.

Anyway, I\'ve half a mind to report you to the moderators for that threat of violence... doh! ;)

That\'s quite a hornets nest Reverend.
I\'m British, originally from Derby, but I\'ve been living in Spain for the last 6 or 7 years. I still visit whenever I can, and when the plane flys over Kent, and you can see all that green out the window, then I always feel like it\'s good to get home.
What I can say is that Spain is also in a bit of a mess, as from what I see is most of the world. It\'s the simple little things that make life worth it in the end; a couple of beers with a few freinds, a walk in the country, Sunday morning bacon and eggs, yorkshire pudding stick to those and F**k the rest, lifes too short and the people who pull the strings have been buggering things about in every respect for far too long.
