Good grief, yes... krom, you remind me of long walks in the forest at Newport. Where the horse shit was the same colour as the mud. You never knew what you stepped in, until an earthy aroma lifted itself to the nostrils.

I\'m a brit living in Japan right now and, for sure, living abroad is cool (specially since right now I\'m considering buying property) but often you\'re reminded that there\'s no place QUITE like home.

I love Japan, and my life here and my GF and her kids, but for sure, if at all possible in the future, I\'d love to come back to the UK.

The things I miss most are really strange I think, mainly pretty everyday activities.

For Example; I miss Match of the Day, sure I can download it, but I used to watch it with my Dad and we\'d talk about football, the games etc. Also if it was cricket season about the game I played that day, stuff like that.

Oh, and the weather, I might sound crazy but I really hate 35+ degrees with 90% humidity! Priming is a nightmare! at least it\'s getting cooler now! Only 24 degrees right now at 9am! feh.

Ironically, I miss GW and other various mini stores (Sheffield is pretty good for mini shops!)...

You can take the brit out of britain, but you can\'t take britain out of the brit ;D I guess ^_^

I miss the beer and real ales, and the NHS. Banks and supermarkets are better as well. The weather sucks though.

I dunno about the weather, I\'m with Arma. Here in summer you can guarantee clear blue skies and 30 degrees, I\'m a 10 minute walk from the beach but I can\'t tell the number of times I\'d happily swap it all for a bit of good ol\' british drizzle. The weather here is monotonous, British weather keeps you on your toes, probably why it\'s such a popular theme of conversation. Look at us, typical Brits whinging about the weather. he he he .
And yes, priming in humid conditions sucks, more than once I\'ve had to stick them in the break fluid and start over, and the heat means that any paint you put out on your pallette dries in under a minute, which is a real pain in the arse.
