No problem - what gets really fun is when you start looking at the exceptions to the rules of classification anyway.

Tamarins for example - primates with claws, thumbs, and litters of young. Two of these things are not primate traits.

ok so that is a relatively longish tail. Point made. There are photos I\'ve seen though where the tails have been shorter.

But hey, at least I was right that they had tails unlike SOME people! :bouncy:

all the baboons i\'ve seen in the wild were busy tryin\' to intimidate me...all i saw was teeth...they have plenty of those...
i just yell at \'em, \"i will beat your monkey ass!!!\"...luckily i never carry food around when i\'m walkin\' in the bush, or they probably would have mobbed me...mean bastards...
hilarious watchin\' \'em attack cars in south african car parks...\"come to the scenic overlook, check out the jackass penguins, get attacked by monkeys\"...that travel agent is so fired!!!
by the way, don\'t look \'em in the eye...my ex learned that the hard way at the hot springs in japan...she was eyeballin\' one of the monkeys, and he took offence...he charged, and started slappin\' her around...i had to beat that monkey ass!!! luckily none of the authorities saw it...i would have been in big trouble...:cussing: monkey...
in my experience, apes are a lot more mellow than monkeys...if the apes ruled, we would just eat and sleep all day...no big change there...if the monkeys rule, it would be war...no big change there either...we\'re all a bunch of ape ass monkeys as far as i\'m concerned...
it\'s the squirrels we need to worry about, they\'ve started an arms race for christ\'s sake!!!

No no my good man , Gibbons are part of the great ape family lol Any reason to rub it in!

I\'d like to clear up that ,no, apes do not have tails.

BUT

Most monkeys have visible tails, though they all still do have tails! Albeit a stubby bit of bone sometimes.

We have \"tailbones\", we\'s like the monkeys :yes: . I share Jahs\' view about apes though, if they took over we\'d all be stoners....Man that sounds so appealing right now at work.
