The Round Robin Miniature Idea

Is it me or are things getting quite confusing around here.

Gypsy......
1 Gather all participants emails
2 Clean and prime the mini yourself
3 Contact the person who you want to send it to by email for the address.Send the damn mini and the contact sheet with only the emails on.Put a tick next to your own so we know its been there.
4 Whoever recieves it ,paint your bit then go to step 3.If your the last and its finished ,contact Gypsy and return it there.

Everyone take progress pics and post on a new forum topic set up for this,Gypsy can post the final images on the main site.
As for postage,It will be a couple of quid at the most.

Does that sound any easier, cos there seems to be a lot of talking and not much action
:D

Yeah thanks, Klute, I quite know what to do,
I just didn\'t get to working on the figure this weekend. I just glued the arm on and am going to prime it later this evening then probably paint the face tomorrow.

Tried counting the parts, too, and it\'s about 15 m/l. With following division:

Face
Beard
Left arm
Right arm
Left weapon
Right weapon
Left shoulder pad
Right shoulder pad
Left leg
Right leg
Rest armour(chest, hip region)
Belt
Rucksack
Rest(knickknacks like the money bag, the rope, the blanket tied to the rucksack etc.)
Base

I thought deviding the miniature into these sections has the advantage of people knowing exactly what to paint; it\'s your turn, you just paint the left arm along with glove and the runes on said glove; or you paint the whole left weapon instead of just the blade or the hilt.

Problem is, as of now I merely count 9 European participants(myself included):

Klute
Peter
Jkaen
Tammy
U4
Tee
Mosch
and Margo

But we\'ll start and if we should come to a dead end we\'ll just have to send the mini back to those who\'d already had it. Whatever.

Would all of those above who still want to take part please send me their preferred email addys and home adresses to gypsy at gmx.com

I wonder if we can beat those Americanadaustralians. If in time or skill will yet have to show. :D

Sorry Gypsy I didnt mean to sound abrupt hence the smiley.
I do think that it would be a good idea to seperate the mini by items not limbs etc.
eg..all the skintone should be done at once,,,,each item of clothing/armour should be done as one.
Also let us contact the next person for their address,,,I may be being over sensetive on this but it means that each of us only knows 1 home address.

My thoughts obviousely and Im still willing to give it a go either way.:D

*sigh* Alright, so it\'s items then which will end up in us having about 11 parts:

Skin
Beard (including eyebrows)
Gloves
Boots and pants
Axe
Sword
Shoulder pads(including those on the upper arms)
Belt
Rest armour(chainmail, platemail)
Rucksack and effects
Base

And that\'s set then, no more discussions! :p
I\'ll print that and put it in the box.

Ah, you afraid of the dung bombs, eh? Okay, send me your adress or don\'t. I just thought it would be easier that way.
Also, if GW already has your adresses it\'s a little too late to get paranoid now. lol

As one who sells thier stuff, I figure anyone who has ever bought a piece from me knows where I am via the return address (for the moment, anyway;) )

Um.... you really want me in? I don\'t paint well. I fear I would really bring the mini down.... I think it would really be better to just leave me out. Think of the poor mini ;)

Skill level doesn\'t matter! Reallly, I\'m setting this up as just something fun and possibly a learning experience. As various parts of the mini get painted and passed on, those who consider themselves lesser skilled will be able to examine a 3-D mini with parts painted by whose they consider to have more skill. It\'s better than staring at a 2-D picture, I think.

Well, I\'d say more but I hear a big t-storm heading this way and I think I\'d better get off the computer NOW.

Bye!:D

Heh...that\'s what I thought until it happened to me. Wasn\'t even much of a storm, and I\'d only had my iMac for two days....Luckily it was covered under warranty;)
