Ok I need to sort my s**t out. Yet another 2 weeks without an update!

Thanks Guys, yep all the planks will be receive a very healthy does of weathering. I'm thinking of adding a ladder up to a small third level (where the wheel would be) but I'm undecided.

Still for the time being the pirate Orc's are on hold while I try to work out the construction of the ship. I've recently started a new peice based on the artwork of Paul Bonner, I've still got to add another Orc in the background and a hawk pulling the Ogres hair but I'm really happy with how it's looking so far

C&C appreciated

cheers

Exciting stuff, You must be on a high of minis 24/7 living and breathing. I bet all you can think about is what you are doing next once your home!

Thanks Arch, shake those pom-poms :)

yep Dave I'll be attempting to sculpt the trap and then get the chain around the tree

cheers Dr Bob

You're not wrong Canny. I find myself staring into space most of the day at the moment working out how I'm going to build things!

Yes it will Mally. I'm going to cut away a small section of the stomach and then greenstuff some ragged clothing (or my best approximation)

thanks Alowan :)

ive done a wee but more the last few days. I've laid down the basic form of the landscape with air drying clay. Started sculpting the tree and sculpted some hair to the beard and a bit for the hawk to grip

Bloody hell darth this project is insane! Give your green skinned muse a pat on the back for thing up this crazy project!!
as for the work itself you're off to a good start. The tree isn't quite registering as a tree yet but I imagine it'll clck into place once you get more of it done

The reference illustration is brilliant and I am pretty sure your work with it will shine too. Following your progress ;)

@ Ole & Daegond thanks guys I must say I'm having s blast :)

@ Johnny. thanks dude that means a lot coming from you

@ Claire I've been bitten hard but the filthy Orcy bug and it's fantasticly liberating. They have such a nice fun, illustrative feel to them. The tree is still very much a WIP at the moment and as its pretty much the most advance greenstuff sculpt I've attempted, I'll be happy if it looks even vaguely organic let alone tree like!

@ Maenas thanks to the words of encouragement, I'm hoping to do Paul's artwork justice!

Bit it more done on the base tonight after a stupidly busy weekend. I'm liking where this is going so far

*pulls up a seat and gets out the popcorn* This project looks set to be as much fun to watch as I'm sure it will be to paint.

Thanks Diggs, Arch and Joce

So my mojo had gone. Work has been ridiculously busy and every time I picked up a brush to paint It seemed like I made mistakes. Fortunately I had a nice little break booked in Paris with the family and I was looking forward to recharging my batteries......WRONG! On the drive down to my in laws, The day before we get the ferry, my breaks catch fire! Smoke, foot tall flames the whole nine yards. It was pretty scary! I managed to put them out on the roadside but the car is unusable. I had the break disks changed recently and it's obvious something has gone very wrong, not happy. there's not enough room in the other 2 family car convoy for me, my wife and my son and as I now need to sort the car out I've elected to stay behind.

Still silver lining though as now I have tons of time to my self. I got around 7 hours of painting in yesterday and it felt great. Basing and experimenting with Orc skin colours C&C appreciated
