You know the Karol Rudyk dragon is only $200 euro, it's a pretty good deal for what you get. Although I think would rather have the Elspeth Von Draken frome Forge World... so many minis... I also hear the euro is set to tank.

Congratulations on the dwarf!
That's well-deserved, and it's even cooler that you're so clearly in a period of growth as a painter and artist! I can't wait to see what you create this year, starting with the great start you're made on the orc. Kudos to you.

Yay! Congratulations on your dwarf's victory - you worked hard on him and produced a delightful vignette.

The Orc's coming along really nicely as well. Keep at it! *cheers from the sidelines*

Thanks everyone. Im really stoked about the Dwarf! I've been smiling so much over the last 24 hours that I've now got terrible face ache!

@ Zab I sea what you did there

@ Ter *sheepishly glances at big cardboard box containing massive dragon (minus underwear) and pushes it discreay under the table* In my defence the detail is amazing, the sculpt beautiful and yes I have a miniature collecting problem :(

Talking of problems, I woke up at 6am this morning (unheard of) and simply had to paint! I've toned down the purple and I'm much happier with it

Thanks Arch and Maenas

@ WGS I'm going more for a purples hued shadow, hopefully that will be more apparent the further into the painting I get.

@ Ten thanks mate. I'm really happy with how they've come out so far. I still may try and ip the contrast a little more but I'm undecided.

@ Ter you've made me blush!!

In most of the paintings I've seen of this guy he's had a material jacket. I really wanted to try realistic leather. Here's some underlying texture work. View attachment 45057

Wow, can't decide what looks best : the face or the leather. Both are awesome! Did you do the leather with inks or acrylics?

Keep up the fabulous work,

Cheers guys.

Bit of both Gino. Acrylic for the textured under painting and washes and inks to get the colour. I did get the scale 75 leather and wood paint set through yesterday though so I may well repaint the coat, I'm undecided.
