Take a mould off it and cast another one up, paint that :)

Failing that... just sculpt one!

Well done dude, if nothing else you kept us all entertained the whole day :)

Hope your mum was as chuffed as we all were when you got a trophy!

Actually that would make quite an interesting large model entry for you, a painted golden demon statue ;)

Huge congrats Squig! When you put up those W.I.P pics of the pilot I was a little bit worried about it, but I didn\'t quite realise just how small the figure was! The detail you got in it was really amazing.

Have to agree with others - the Youngbloods comp was outstanding! I wish I could have painted to even half that quality when I was younger!

Put a few of my pics up, but unfortunately I didn\'t actually get a chance to photograph much of the day so I appologise for them being a little Team Harrow oriented :)

The ones of the awards are also not great as photographing people against a very bright screen as a background isn\'t easy! My friend Robin took the award shots as I was otherwise occupied :)

Here\'s the first, this is Squiggy collecting his statue (and grinning like a nutter):

And here\'s Nano\'s moment of glory as he holds aloft the slayer sword (he was pretty careful about holding the blade, funny how everyone seems to be a bit wary of grabbing it with both hands these days :)

And simply because it\'s not up on CMON in it\'s newly \'tweaked\' state, and it\'s one of the only winning minis I actually have an image of, here\'s my Vanquisher which took gold in vehicle:

YYYEEESSS IIINNNDDEEEDDDEEEE !!!!!!

Its a grey monday morning here in the S.W. And its back to the real world:(.
But what a GREAT day yesterday was ! :flip:

The C.M.O.N. get together at the hotel was AMAZING ! There was a real feeling of community and mutual sharing and encouragemant.I didnt do a head count but it must have been nearly 40 of us.
Its very encouraging , another step towards a real and vibrant British team.
Ben did a great job getting this off the ground with PLT BRIT in july.
Well done to all who ended up on the winners stand as well.

HOWEVER  ;) we must\'nt think we have arrived as a team,to carry on with this fraternal spirit we need to keep the communication and encouragement going ! :flip: The fellowship and camerarderie our European brothers enjoy is an all year round thing, not just for shows. On this site we can P.M. each other and we can also swap E mail address . I want to send out more W.I.Ps to our team as things develop and would appreciate feedback so I can change things BEFORE the model is on the base & finished .???
So ladies and gents, it was lovely to see you ALL :D, now lets take it to the next level.
OH !,,,and whose interested in taking the fight to the continent, G,D. Spain is usually FEB and me and my beloved are planning to go , money permitting ! :flip:

GOD Bless .........................V

P.S. I lost Email address\'s when the COMP blew up so please drop me an E mail If you havnt heard from me in the last couple of weeks ! :D

Congratulations and well done to all Demon winners, seems like the brits are back.

Thought o be honest I am tad confused about PB, at the July meeting it was said that it wasn\'t about producing a \"team\" as such but about improving the skills across the board.

From what Vincenti has said there is a team.... confused now.

I think what Ady is saying is that we need to build on the \'community spirit\' that has started to develop this year....

No, PB isn\'t meant to be a \'Team GB\', it is, as you say, there to help raise the bar amoungst UK painters in general.

However.... one of the main percieved problems in the UK painting community is the secrecy... no one wants to show each other their entries for a comp until it\'s the day of the competition and the model is finished. If however, like Team Spain and other similar groups, we all interacted year-round and shared the progress of our comp entries (even just amoungst ourselves) it would seriously help raise the level of modelling and painting across the board.

One of the things we want to develop under the PB banner is some kind of forum or mailing list for all the members so they can share pics of their work with each other all the time (without posting it for the entire world to see if they don\'t want to) and get constructive feedback before, as Ady says, it\'s already on a plinth and finished.

Hope that makes some sense :)

Just to add... I think the most important thing is that PB stays \'inclusive\' not \'exclusive\'... as soon as we start having people feel they wish they could be part of it, but can\'t... we\'ve lost the battle.

We want everyone to be part of it.

Just stuck up a few picks of my demonette assassin which got a silver in 40K single... I have to admit this was such a shock, I really wasn\'t massively happy with the way this mini came out... and it had NMM gold on it too which I thought would also mean I had little chance of getting anywhere... But hell, I ain\'t complaining :)

Here she is, her and all the rest of my stuff will be being PROPERLY photographed and then edited on my new monitor in a few weeks and posted up on CMON.

Congratulations again, people! I\'ve seen that Vanquisher in the untweeked version and it was very good then.

I feel part of PB and I\'ve yet to finish a mini (except a test piece which has since been stripped), since my return to the hobby so if I can be part of it, then anyone can. :D

!!!!!!

DO you have a pics of me :D

Always love to have some \"souvernirs\"

^^

Unfortunately Robin only took a few pics of the ceremony as I didn\'t have too much space on my flashcard left at the end of the day... as such, the ones I\'ve posted are the only ones of the winners :-(

But I\'m sure somone has pics of you collecting your demon!!

What a great day it was, I must say that was the best UK games day that I have been to, the standard of the entries was mind blowing.
I must say that I was extremely proud of all the UK guys that were winners on the day, I agree totally with Ben\'s thoughts on this.
I would say that one of the best things that have happened (in MY opinion) to games day is the French, Spanish, wherever?? invasion of painters. These guys are extremely talented and skilfull and have forced the UK guys to raise the bar (as seen at this years entries).
Games day has a truly European feel now, and the standard is better than anywhere else in the world, so if you are a winner here then you are doing something really special.
It was great to spend time with Ben, Rob, Nigel - 3 of the nicest guys in the hobby (all 3 winners of demons on the day) also big congrats to Nano - brilliant entry and well deserved of the Slayer sword.

With the whole PB thing in full swing now I can see the slayer sword coming home SOON.

I have around 300 really good quality pics of the day that I will try and get posted this week.
