Ah nice pieces Ben!

Congrats all! I had a blast! I was knackered at the event though from late night painting on the hotel room. Had to finish my wfb single entry (The slight converstion of Caradryan to a standard bearer.. greenish colours).

So nice to meet everybody. I had some great conversations this year around. Just which we have had more time... Hope you post good pictures of your work!

Six month before France GD, One year before UK.... I\'ll have very much more time to make more huge things lollollol

It was really pleasant to heard you and lot of others winner tell me that they think about me for the sword. It\'s a winning in it and the recognition of the people. I\'m really really happy with that !!!!!

alas my feet were hurting so much by the end of the day that i couldnt actually hobble into the main theature to watch the awards ceremony....so i spoke to some of the eavy metal team instead who gave me some good advice.

Hi to every one, congratulations to everybody (Nano, Michael Anderson, Jacob Nielsen, Rune Kaple, Adrian Bay, Ruben Perez, Matt Cettwish, Ben Komets, etc) because I saw authentic master pieces. I came back yesterday and I read here some things that I am not agree…I was stunned. I saw the mini of nano in hand, although he is my brother in arms I confirm that IT IS THE BEST SPACE MARINE THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN, for idea, selection of colours, technic, conversion…etc…etc... Probably I do not idea of paint…jejejejje or I am blind but I think it was the best mini of the contest with difference.

For Julien´s perspective he had to win the sword in every golden in which he has presented and he always critics the decision of the judges in every golden and the minis of the others painters.

This for me is a hobby to enjoy and learn from other painters in a good environment, not a war…If you want a sword learn of your mistakes and try to be better, not try to send rubbish to others painters or judges like your words in creafigs. Sorry for my English and It is a preasure for me to see old friends and new ones…..See you in the next golden.

@Luis: I am not following you here. This thread contains afaik no critique of the SS piece (only praise and that the pictures does not do it justice) and Julien has not given any critique to the judges. He has only said that his time will come.

I\'m not saying nano don\'t have to win the sword, i don\'t criticism the judgement, i\'m not the judges of this GD, i have nothing to say.
I don\'t say Nano\'s marine is not good (i told exactly the opposite), and i congratule him in person for his second sword at the GD, and yes it\'s an incredible and beautiful marine.

After i think i still have the right to said that i\'m not convince of the painting of some parts, like the scratch of the armor, it\'s not because a mini win a sword that some points cannot be better :] You can also read on creafigs that i totally said that the painting is incredible, especcially the face. Things that i also said to Fernando in real

So take your anger back and don\'t try to interprate what i\'m saying if you don\'t understand it. If you have a problem with me, come to see me in person it\'s better that split your rage on a forum. Especially when you don\'t know me and invent me a personnality
Painting mini is also a hobby to me, where i meet people and learn from them (the giant is totally the result of the learning with Sebastian Archer and David W.) And coming and hope to win a sword or a demon don\'t have to be a shame luis, it\'s a competition, no shame to hope have a result and saying it!

It\'s not because you participate at a golden demon that you cannot also paint minis for the pleasure ! So strange !

I also never said that the sword was mine or have to be mine, I just thanks the people who told me that they were thinking about me for the sword, because this was a real pleasure and honor for me to heard people saying this to me. This is totally different boy

I only wanted to say to Julien that there is no problem, I have also read creafigs and I understand some things and no others like your citacion of the title of the mini, I did it without no chances I thought, the result was a surprise. This is a hobby like Luis and you said, and the best is that is a friendly and a international hobby. I have to recognize that Julien miniatures, from the time that I started to know he in the french GDs, have been better and better. Actually his painting is much more better and with more contrast, I though that It would be gold and this was the final result. I also have seen better painted minis of you, more time to do, I noticed that there should be some hard days and a fast paintjob, like me, you and me did the same, painting the last days, no sleep, the GD feeling, like always . So two different minis, size and styles, but two great miniatures that I´m surely that we enjoy, like the others winners and participants.

Its very easy to be missunderstood when talking to different nationalities, but it is WONDERFUL that C.M.O.N, crosses national boundaries with our common vision.
The quest continues for the most excellent Sci/Fi & Fantasy minis.

Spanish GD was the 18 of February last year. It´s strange that they don´t have said the date for 2009 yet, but it´s probably that will be in February or March, also Madrid have a chance to do it instead of Barcelona, who knows!

Nano\'s sword winner is SUPERB, so is Julien\'s GIANT! I would hate to be a judge because that would have been a very very close race.
