Woah, made it back alive. Hi to Dragonsreach, Kat, Ramon, Koen and all other cmoners I bumped into.

I\'m officially very tired but happy after getting two bronze demons and a gold. I was shaking like a leaf and barely able to stand at times. And it was brutal this year.

Jakob Nielson went the final distance to lift the sword.

Ok, so I didn\'t get a demon but I did make it to the finalists, which considering the competition was twice as hard as last year was a great achievement in itself.

I think someone owes someone else money since I DID get the FW dragon afterall...... :innocent: heh..

I think Hy\'Li\'Spy\'Qui was one of the most colourful entries One of the GW staff said it looked very much of the French style- guess painting Rackham minis has got to me..

PS. Had a look at my new dragon, it\'s sweet, all the spines are seperate pieces He\'s going to take ages to put together! Oh and as for size, it\'s bigger than Reaper\'s Gauth model.....

SJB, I think you will find one of those demons is mine. Nice saurus kittykat. The marine above yours was one I tipped to win. Just my luck they put it next to mine in the cabinet, made mine look really bad. But hey not all bad got two finalist certificates so it\'s something to work on. And I did get a black library bloodquest diorama:bouncy:

Yes it\'s true, my fault. I hold up my hands.
At the last minute I received an invitation from a lady on these forums that couldn\'t be turned down. So there I was between the proverbial rock & a hard place. (Arrgh!)
Sorry to the Guys & Gals that I missed but with over 6000 people in there we shouldn\'t be surprised that we missed each other.
Finn17: I was looking out for a guy in a CMON teeshirt with a Tache etc who was of a respectable age like me.... but to no avail.

Those of us who did manage to hook up included Kittykat, Tammy, SJB, Rammon, Jakob Neilsen, KingM (again! and yes he did have the big Black & Orange Case ), Nejoho and about another 10-15 painters whose names disappeared under a sea of smiling faces laughter & shaking hands. And if anyone thinks that the top painters would be stuck up, think again, they are all incredibly friendly people. And Oh Boy did I see several cases of extreme nerves amongst them at the end of the judging. (No names..No Pack Drill. But we thought one was going to have a heart attack with nerves.)
As to me I also managed to get Two through to the finalist placings. They\'ll be up on CMON soon.

As an aside I managed to recognise KittyKat not only because of the Blue Koala (Stitch from \"Lilo & Stitch\") but because of the fanatical \'Look I\'ve got The Dragon Smile\' and the size of the box tightly clutched in her arms. I think its fair to say that she wasn\'t that much taller than the box!!!!!!. (I was under strict instructions not to give in to temptation and buy one.. and I obeyed my wife!!! Well I didn\'t have the money either so that made it final * SIGH*)

One last laugh: out of all that crowd of thousands only two smellies, what an improvement!
Now to plan for next year!

aaaah, dang it, why can\'t they have the UK game day just a few weeks earlier so I could come !!! Oh well won\'t be able to go anyway I\'m goign to mexico for three months next summer, problem is I don\'t speak spanish that well Any CMONers in mexico ???

Both Mr inacage and I had even printed off your post so we wouldn\'t get it wrong...am I rubbing this in....? Good!!

I might forgive you for wasting best part of an hour of my time at GD but it will take at least 12 months...
