Hi Everyone, this is just a curiosity and not official (although might be influential, but I don\'t even have photos of all of these, lol). What Fantasy model from 2004-2005 would you like to see on a cover of a publication.

Links to choices:

1) Yshaelle l\'Oubliee By Poupee Canope
2) Grallapoussah De barback By bragon
3) Dark Elf By thomasdavid.tm
4) Homme bête By allan c
5) Countesse de Brionne By goatman
6) Harbinger of Menoth By fluffy
7) The Ride of the Sorceres By fredy
8) Veneur 1 By Arkaal
9) Dark Maiden By EricJ
10) Valten, Exalted of Sigmar By Alexi_Z

11) Accepting Write-Ins!! Don\'t vote above and write the piece and post a link.

Again, this isn\'t official, as I may not even have all the photos involved, although the photos I have did influence my choices here to some degree. I appologize for anyone I left out, I literally went down the list when I browsed fantasy and picked ones that fell in the proper time. Feel free to explain your vote or not below.

Please vote based on the Mini you would like to see on the cover, not by the artist you like or dislike, etc... I want a good book, not a popularity contest. I also realize I put myself on this list, I am 100% indiferent here (have on my professional designer hat), please do not let my work on the annual affect your vote at all.

Thank you for your time :)

Definitely the Dark Maiden. Not only it is a great miniature, but it marked a point in the history of miniature painting as a perfect example of how boundaries of the hobby can be pushed farther. It truly showed that imagination is the key!

Well, my vote goes for Poupee Canope\'s Yshaelle. Propably the best fantasy mini i know. Everything is amazing in it, i love the colours and freehand.

I wonder what was the basis of selecting exactly that mini from the artist? Score?

Tis very hard to choose, but I too will cast my vote for Poupee Canope\'s.

The elegance, and sheer beauty of that mini is amazing.

The Dark Maiden was a close 2nd for me, but I could choose only one!!

That is exactly what I was thinking  and, no, I\'m not trying to score brownie points with you, Eric;) The 10 choices you gave are all spectacular, even stunning, minis and any would make an excellent choice for the cover, but, as Margo put so well the Dark Maiden captures a point in time so well. I rememebr well the buzz it created when it was first posted. And since I have trouble remembering what I ahd for breakfast this morning ;) that\'s pretty impressive :D

yes, I think if I had to choose I\'d vote Poupee Canope\'s. (you know, since you can\'t vote for yourself :D)

Unfortunately I don\'t think it\'s a photo I have, but perhaps if it\'s an overwhelming choice one I could dig up. There is always hoping.

I choose Poupee Canope\'s. It\'s not that I per definition like that one more then some of the others. But I think the softness of it, the tranquility it radiates and the soft backgroundcolour would make a good front for a book. It works well as a graphical element on a bookcover. That and it\'s brilliantly painted.

Erics maiden comes very close but it a bit harsh in colours (not meaning this in a negative way at all)... black background and all. I think that would be to overwhelming on a bookcover though for the fig itself it seems the right choice.
Some other works would need to be put on a better background I suppose if they were to be used (I\'m not to fond of the white background for use on a book as the figure will seem to float a bit on the page then).

My 2 cents.

I would like to nominate Cyril\'s Widowmaker:

One of my favorite minis, beautiful in it\'s simplicity, and who wouldn\'t appreciate the subtle irony of having a sniper on the cover of the CMON annual?;)

Herb, I saw that one too, but this is just a poll for fantasy, we may see another poll later for all the rest :)

Guess I never thought about it before, but is Warmachine considered Sci-Fi or Fantasy? I\'d lean more towards fantasy(but I know what you\'re getting at.):)

Count Chocula and black coffee. Maybe we should lay off those special \'brownies\' you are referring to.

Anything by Bragon or Yellow one or Arjay or I can go on. I would have thought the one with the highest score and votes would win this right. (Or maybe you mini as your holding the poll).:D There all good pick a name out of a hat.

Dark Maiden, all the way. It\'s on my favourites list. It\'s on my wife\'s favourites list.

What Margo said, too. It\'s just freakin\' brilliant.

Yshaelle l\'Oubliee By Poupee Canope

The rest are brilliant, but this one really breaks the mould in my opinion.

When people ask about \'toy soldiers\' with a smirk on their face, this is the mini I would wish to show them.....;)
