That is an EPIC wedding topper! Love the steampunk theme (as I'm sure your friends will, too). If only my woman would allow such a display of awesomeness on our wedding cake next year. *sigh*
Now are the miniatures close representations of the groom and bride? And did you build the platform yourself or was it a preconstructed piece? Or an amalgum of pieces?
Omaha, the platform was a deconstructed folding cup holder car accessory, suitably adorned with again deconstructed "El Cheapo" brass(ish) jewellery then lots of matching pairs, as much as possible, of watch gears and other bits. The back upright is not the first or my preferred Steampunk style, but the bloody thing couldn't set with the Araldite I tried to use.
But and most importantly, I gave it to Nadine, (the Bride) yesterday who provided the whole staff and customers of Waterstones, Birkenhead to a
Squeeeeee of both epic proportions and volume! Then proceeded to redesign the shape of my rib cage with a matching hug!
I'm guessing she liked it!
Regretfully, for me, the wedding is on Friday so I'm unable to attend thanks to a W.O.T. meeting.
