The one I\'m most proud of

The mini I\'m most proud of at the moment has got to be my zergling.

http://www.coolminiornot.com/index.php?id=16594

It\'s one of the best conversions I\'ve done to date and it came out strikingly close to what I had originally envisioned. The paint job ain\'t half bad either, but mostly it\'s the conversion that I\'m proud of.

Now I just need 3 more votes for it to actually count for something! :D

The one of mine I like the most is my Cyanhur, dagger of the Rat God Dio. It was my first top ranking one, even though I primarily did it for myself. Strange how when you stop caring about what others think, you do your best... :p

My Biggest Improvement

For me, the mini I\'m most proud of up here is my Strigoi (id=11000). There\'s a few reasons for this:

1) One of the first times I\'ve really studied a color wheel during the painting process, to make sure that the colors worked well together before putting them on the pallete or model. ;)

2) First time I\'ve done any real layering. There\'s like 6 layers on the skintone alone, and I can only say that I because of my work on this model, I understand the process much better.

3) It\'s a freaking vampire! :D

Regardless of the vote on him, I\'m most happy with him because it\'s one of the first paint jobs in a loooong time that was more than \'Rank & File\'. He kind of represents the combination of a bunch of smaller techniques that I\'d tried out on scores (literally) of far less detailed models. Looking at him after he was done, I had the \"holy crap... did I paint that?\" reaction, which only made me more excited and more eager to paint. :)

Poop ups

Yeah, considering all the marvels I present to you each time you visit are all 100% free features, I don\'t mind the odd poop up. Of course the Bravenet forum is bad for it, but then oh well! Could always download the poop up blocker from one of the 8 poop ups here :D Haha sorry Chern...

Most Proud Of

I\'d have to say I\'m most proud of my Crimson Raptors\' Chaplain. He\'s one of the HQ choices from my DIY SM Chapter. I think the face came out quite well and I real happy with how my gold nmm technique is coming along. Yes that\'s a laspistol! Working on changing that.

Hi Peeps.

Great Thread.

I think probably This one

Mostly because I had great fun painting it, and got a little carried away with the freehand stuff. I don\'t think I\'ve painted anything better to date, but I\'m working on it ;)

I tend to paint for myself as I don\'t do commission work at the moment (not good enough).
My early work looking at them now look terrible and I must get around to choosing one for the crappy mini or not and give it an oil bath! or maybe they should all go for an oil bath?
My best to date has to be Angus I\'m really proud of this little guy

before him I have only done about six figs in the last3 months as I stopped for about 7 years one of the last I did before stopping was

He is a 90mm Hun Warrior that was excellent to paint without inks and before I had even heard of NMM or blending I just did what I thought looked good.
As for sentimental value that would have to be a 25mm \"flat\" mini I did for an ex girlfriend many years ago which I gave to her as a present so I cann\'t show it.
If you want a challenge try painting a 25mm \"flat\" like you would a normal mini!!??!
