My Biggest Improvement
For me, the mini I\'m most proud of up here is my Strigoi (id=11000). There\'s a few reasons for this:
1) One of the first times I\'ve really studied a color wheel during the painting process, to make sure that the colors worked well together
before putting them on the pallete or model.
2) First time I\'ve done any real layering. There\'s like 6 layers on the skintone alone, and I can only say that I because of my work on this model, I understand the process much better.
3) It\'s a freaking vampire!
Regardless of the vote on him, I\'m most happy with him because it\'s one of the first paint jobs in a loooong time that was more than \'Rank & File\'. He kind of represents the combination of a bunch of smaller techniques that I\'d tried out on scores (literally) of far less detailed models. Looking at him after he was done, I had the \"holy crap... did
I paint that?\" reaction, which only made me more excited and more eager to paint.
