That\'s why I enjoyed WHFRP a lot, because of the occupational stuff. Worked a treat.

There is a place in RPG\'s for stuff like Arduim Grimoire. They add some nice elements to the game that you don\'t always get. Hope often do you see the archtype fighter character, studied to be a blacksmith, parents killed by goblinoids...?
@ NecroN How do you handle DC\'s and AC\'s with the reversed numbers?

Please help. I have a player that fudges his die rolls all the time. He did it at least 3 times during our most recent gamming session, and one of them was a fumble that he claimed was a crit.
In the past I have just done little things to try and stop him from doing this, like not letting players pick up their dice immedietly after they roll them, but this does not seem to work. I have also given monsters grudges against his characters. I am at a loss, right now. It irritated me so much that I had to kill his character last session.
Whats worse is that he is a powergaming munchkin that also happens to be a rules laywer.
Plus all the other players know that he does this as well.

You can go as far as using the ever popular, stare the player right in the eyes, drop the die, don\'t look at the die and say \"Nat 20, that\'s a crit\".

Have you tried flogging? Maybe a nice stick across the nuckles
Have you tried a dice cage/tumbler? You can get them in gambling supply shops. It\'s basically a wire cage shaped like an hour glass. Turn it over and the dice inside tumble about without any one actually touching them or being able to pick them up immediately.Originally posted by Drake Farstrider

I had a GM do that \"natrual twenty\" thing to me once. Really pissed me off. Thing was I never cheated. I actually rolled a natural crit. He just knew the NPC he liked so much would die if I ever actually landed a punch (a supers game) so he just never let me hit no matter what.:flame:
Of course, his NPC hit me every time, but I was super brick so he couldn\'t actually hurt me.
Never played under that GM again though.

If I was running Feng Shui I would.
Did you miss my last line?
\"I never fudge for a player if they are doing something dumb/out of character/against the other players. That is when you leave the dice where they lie and the players where they die. \"
Actually in this case I would use the ever popular GM scare tactic: \"Are you sure you want to do that?\"
That is the line that most players (I assume, maybe it\'s just mine) hear and quickly realize maybe they are missing something or being foolish.
