OK, I just posted to Provoke_me\'s \"art show\" thread and it made me think of a girl I graduated with in high school. She\'s the lead female character on the TV show, \"The Hughley\'s\" on the WB network. Her name is Elise Neal. She was on a couple of other shorter-run t.v. shows.

I went to a school of Creative and Performing Arts. I didn\'t have squat to do with that part of the school - just happened to be in the attendance area. Antother guy I graduated with, Lonnie Smith, designed the first contest-winning Swatch watch.

My uncle\'s brother is Tim McCarver who played on the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team, AND my dad is really good friends with Larry Bird, retired basketball player for the Boston Celtics.

So, who do you know that\'s famous?

I met Windsor Davies in a kebab shop in Bradford.

A friend and I shouted abuse at Mick Hucknall once.

Oh, I made a burrito for Richard Whiteley one time too. What a cock! I never abused anyones food, but I almost gobbed in his I have to say...

I once had a game of darts with Mike Oldfield however and I \'roadied\' for Dexys Midnight Runners, Kiss and Peter Gabriel. That just makes me an underpaid jerk however

Funny, I think I just started goobing about folks on Kat\'s forum. Interesting people I\'ve talked to or currently know or ran into once and now avoid like the plague:

One of my best friend\'s father was a personal bus driver for a ton of bands - Molly Hatchet, Journey, etc.

Just met, today, the drummer for Earth, Wind, and Fire, Sonny Emory. He just got back from Australia touring with Bette Midler and before that did a gig in the States with Bruce Hornsby. His son is in my son\'s classes at school and I\'m friends with his wife. COOL family!

Also dated (before Grumb) the grandson of the guy who came up with the fourth law of thermonuclear dynamics. He was a twat! (Grumb hates him and it has nothing to do with me having dated him!)

I think everyone knows someone famous - or at least semi-famous! (Of course, it may be your next door neighbor and you could be saying to the news reporter, \"he was such a nice quiet person...\" Didn\'t suspect at all he was an axe murderer. lol

No. Not necessarily. Although once I worked with a guy, who knew a guy, who\'s cousin dated someones uncle that handed a tissue to someone famous.
