Well, what do you say about a real update?
these last few days have been filled with heat and hardships but finally I have something worthy of an update.
To begin with, here is the tank with power on and full juice:
All nice and shiny blues here!
But the goal of these past few days have been to dim that blue shine down a bit. So, with those components I showed you in an earlier post I made myself a circuit board. I never got to making a custom one though, I used the existing one as I found a way to hide it well.
As a side effect I realized I had a new place to put my battery, making room for new components and cables in the rear compartment:
With this extra space I have started thinking about adding a battery eliminator socket to use on a scenic base or something, but that will come later if I get around to it, definitely nothing I need to think about before starting on the base.
The dimming switch is going to be hid in the same way as the power switch, under a hatch in the rear:
And finally, what this whole week was all about, the dimmed reactor core:
Now I just need to finish the design on the reactors and cannon since we know it is all working as planned.
