Thanks Andy I wasn\'t sure at first but I do like it and I wanted to use colours that would contrast well on a snow themed base also.

Works well! Just keep the brown dark to create a contrast. But I do like it, green is one of my \'bug-bear\' colours. Well, bright green anyway! (no problems with \'camo\' greens).

Nice work all.

El Guardian:
Lovely freehand! I can\'t wait to see the finished paintjob. perhaps the reds still draw too much attention. somekind of tiny freehand border, swirls or such might be added.. but that\'s hard to say on this early stage.

NWMP:
I really like how the armour\'s coming out. It\'s a great model.

tidoco2222:
The tau is coming out nicely! Very smooth transitions. But IMHO the greens, blues and brown detracts from each other a bit right now. In this colour-scheme I think the problem lies in the too reddish brown. IMO the colder brown (sc. brown?) from the first WIP-shot worked better. A choice could have been basecolour and add more and more amounts of bleached bone or similar for highlights. But it would be a shame to ruin such smooth transitions as you have in the browns. Slight moderation of the hue with more colder glazes? Perhaps you should also keep the contrast as high as in the greens? Just my opinion, great work.

An Unusual Departure

Ok this is something a little different for me. I do not usually do 40K vehicles I am more fond of doing WWII if I am going to do this sort of thing, but I was asked to do a chaos landraider for a friends Chaos army and he wanted it in an undivided theme.

LandRaiderWip1.jpg

So I had a think and came up with this, the green is an old Citadel Colour metallic green and so far has just been applied and then washed with dilute drown ink and then drybrushed back up with a mix of silver and green. There is still a long way to go as you can see and a lot of waethering to do which I intend to use MIG weathering powders for. Also when complete the model with have interior lighting so the inside can be seen when on display. hope you like it so far. Sorry for the pic quality I took the shot with my normal set up for mini photography and it isn\'t good enough for something this size.

TAB: i really like the GS work on the Ogre. The explosion of gas is cool, because it follows the riffleing of the barrel. Nice attention to detail.

Tidoco: i just got a Land Raider for my Space Wolves... got the chaos model for the extra bits. Please send some warnings for touble spots you hit. :D

I\'ve haven\'t had many issues so far with the Raider a couple of issues were the engine panel that fits in the interior had to be trimmed to make it fit and also the sponson covers for the side guns I had to drill out the holes that the gun supports fit through as the fit was so tight they would not move freely.

Greenstuff : Yes I am going to work on bi directional OSL I figure the weapons blast needs the back side lit and the ogre needs the front. I have some transparent orange by vallego to play with. I will pretend it is a sexy woman with a dress again. could that work it would be like a see transparent thing right? :D
Grumb :Not for paint aid I got 3 gnoblars for that all out and mailed away. It is for a project I am working on and will to go to the block when all units are complete. will be quite a while though. I have finished the pants and tried a spatter mud thing and will get a photo later.

EDIT: Here\'s the picture. although I notice a hard line on the left arm that will be fixed.
