@TAB
Looks great so far! Very realistic fire! Looking forward to seeing it complete!

@MMA
The face looks great! Are you doing eyebrows? What colour mix have you used for the skin?

wow indeed that skin is awesome, the mix will be great i hae lots of celtos elfs to paint and love that skintone.

@TAB impresive ogre great effect, post hree when its finished, something worth seeing

M
I`ve used the tip I wrote of on MMA forum. Basically it`s vomit brown and then bronzed flesh. But I consider both colors to be too orange/yellow so I added a tiny drop of blue/purple to \"brake\" them ( I`ve used blue ink mixed with liche purple).
the brightest highlights were made by adding vmc light flesh (928) and then skull white.
During mixing I`ve also kept adding matte medium to achieve nice,flat and durable surface easier.

I think I won`t make eyebrows. I don`t like the way they look on such small minis, unless they`re female. On male minis I make them only when they`re sculpted.

cheers

@tab - top notch osl there. can\'t wait for the finished result

@mma - great skin. it must\'ve been tricky painting that freehand on the base of the cloak

@TAB That is great work on that Belcher I like it a lot.

@ MMA Loving the I-Kore elf such smooth skintones.

Well I have taken time off the Raider to do some more work on this mini. I like the way the laser has come out though the shades are not showing through too well with the light reflecting back off the white of the casing.I still have some smoothing out on the grey of the pants which is more obvious now I look at it in the picture I\'ll sort that out tomorrow as well as doing some more detailing of the base.

I like this new verson of Boris and the dark skintobne realy suits him. I am going to order this myself soon but think I will go for the Hammer option but the sword will look good, can\'t wait to see it completed Mark. Thanks for the comment on Elluvari it\'s a great sculpt I am realy enjuoying painting it. I had a bit of a mental block on the gun but just tried the white for the casing and it all seemed to flow from there.

Grumb

used to be a Freak
Tim; Coming along nicely, I like the laser too. How are you going to paint the straws in the base to look like pipes?

Mark;

Boris is looking good. looking forward to seeing him finished.

@TAB, that OSL is perfect, exactly the way i like it (aha aha, thats the way, aha aha, i like it ... ok enough)
not too much colors or light, subtle but perfect :)
@tidoco the superhero looks great! your rapid improvment is fearsome :) really lovely base work and the scanner on the weapon is really cool (or is he carrying a ghetto blaster around? would be a great conversion ;))
@mark thats probably the best dark skin i\'ve ever seen
im not sure about the cigar, he is clearly in a fantasy set because of all his fur, gems, knifes etc, not sure if cigars were invented back then ;)

@ klute. it\'s great model isn\'t it? will paint mine asap but am converting him so it\'s his middle finger sticking up (because i find that sort of thing funny)

@freakinacage.....yeh I see what you mean.

Joshua....Im sure cigars were invented a loooooooooong time ago,in fact I will google it and let you know.
Besides Im painting him as a super hero/fantasy type like that Thor guy so:p

Hes going on an industrial base to emphasise it more as well,should be interesting to here what people say.
Im enjoying doing black skin though its real hard to get the facial details to show ie eyes and mouth.

i just told you what was in my mind at that moment and it looked rather strange to me, mostly because of his stone age boots :)

MalleusMiniArt I agree that the cloak must have been really hard I can not imagine and your skin tones are indeed spot on

Tim I did not realize they were straws b4 Grumb mentioned it I was too busy staring very very nice stuff, I love the pant colors used
Klute I tried a dark skinned woman um think I stripped her 6 times then on the 7Th she was put to rest for now.I did invest in the reaper dark skin line in hopes of a revival though. Hats off to you it looks great.
Josh you made my night with your song :D
your widow maker is so very fine. My My My.
I have a bit more done but tonight I am at it again may be I will finish and go to the next one. Thanks for the updraft in hope for me here.

Thanks Tab.

White undercoat,,,,as always
scorched brown solid base
chaos black thin washes
scorched brown blended through to
beastial brown

there will be some beastial brown and bleached bone selective highlights when the mini is all together eg face details/knuckles.
I looked a lot at how the skin is coloured on real dark skinned people.The girl in MacDonalds was wondering what I was staring at:eek:
Nearly as bad as looking at car bumpers/fenders for chrome inspiration.
