@elouchard
Those wings are incredible! :eek:

Here\'s something I\'m working on at the moment. I\'m thinking of doing some not too large tatoo somewhere, but I\'m not sure where. I\'m very happy about the face, so I won\'t do any tatoos there. Suggestions? :)

Oh, and the legs look crappy due to a shadow from the sword. I\'ll light it properly when I\'m taking the finished shots.

Ritual, that is amazingly cool! Is there any way you could give me a peek at the NMM blade colours you use? Those would fit in with some of my blades.

Thanks Rhode! For the blade I used a base coat of German WWII Luftwaffe Blue. For highlighting I mixed more and more Pale Greyblue with the Luftwaffe Blue and then used Pale Greyblue on its own. The final highlights were made with white. On the lower face of the sword I mixed a bit of Cork Brown with Luftwaffe Blue and made some ground reflections. Quite subtle, but still visible.

@Elouchard....some of the best feather painting Ive seen.Great to know how you did it too.I went for wetbrushing on a figure with wings and it looked messy.Your wash and glaze technique looks perfect.

@Anders......not quite sure about tattoos.Maybe something around the navel?
Nice blade,I think I might copy that look.I like the subtle ground reflection.You dont really see it but the blade looks spot on so you know it works well.
I think a lot of sky earth you have to tell yourself what it is in order to appreciate it.This subtle style looks right without you having to convince yourself.

I know what I mean anyway:D

@Klute
I understand what you\'re saying, Mark... I think... :innocent:

You convinced me regarding the tattoo. I was thinking putting it on the belly and now I made up my mind. I also decided the pattern. Thanks! :D

BTW, this is the mini I was preparing for your class, but finished the skin before it had started. I used some of your technique for the finishing touches, though. :)

Yes. My converted Chaos Space Marine got quite a few battle damages in our dogs jaws, thank god it wasnt painted or primed, no clue what would have happened to our dog.

My cats gnawed on a HeroClix \"Harley Quinn\" figure I was thinking of repainting. I was not happy. She\'s still awaiting greenstuff repairs.

@elouchard - wow those are great wings! you\'re right, drybrushing doesn\'t work very well at all on feathers.

@TAB Studio: your ogre looks very arctic/Space Wolves, just the colours you know? It\'s a little different. I can\'t really make out many details from the photo though.

OK, here\'s my latest WIP. I\'m trying to develop my NMM technique, so excuse my slightly rough blending:

(pics link to larger versions) So do I have the right idea here?

Damn theres been some good stuff going on here lately...

TAB Studio - looking fine there so far, bigger pictures?

Heres a little project i\'ve spent the last 4 or 5 days on, trying to expand my sculpting skills once again, for all of those out there who know how the aesthetics of sculpted models work, any tips on how to improve on my next piece would be greatly helpful, i will try to keep posting the w.i.p\'s of it as i paint it,

i\'m actually really pleased with this so far, i know theres lots of errors, but a couple of milestones took place here, firstly sculpting chainmail, and secondly sculpting cloth that i think looks half decent. any suggestions or questions are welcome.

Mike;

That looks fantastic! His face is really nice! and the multitones in the beard really make it stand out. Great work! I\'ve become a hige fan of Werner\'s figures. I\'m a dwarf fanatic, and the line of dwarves that he is doing for the Reaper Warlord line are incredible. Probably some of my favorite dwarves of all!

Cheers,
Scott

My Tzeentch Exalted Daemon. I need to cover up the pin at his tail with green stuff and then paint it. I\'m also considering continuing the flaming symbols on the back of the cloak up and onto the main flesh of the Daemon (getting even smaller of course) but I\'m not sure if it\'s necessary and I\'m worried it may be taking it a bit too far. What do you lot think?

I don\'t want you to think I\'m using this post just to pimp my site either, but you can read more about the creation of this mini and follow the progress of my army (and others) right here if you\'re interested. Sorry in advance if my working for GW brings you out in a rash! ;)
