GREAT start. Kick the skull brightness up. Paint it white, then do a THIN wash of yellow, mix some yellow-green (heavy on the yellow) with white and do the shading on the skull with this. There should not be much difference (light and dark wise) on the skull.
Starting at the feet and working your way up put a thin wash of blue-black over the green. You want the existing green to show through. You just want it to be a bit darker and duller. As you work your way up do the washes thinner and start to drop the black out.
