Just been and voted on your piece Eric it is quite simply jaw dropping that base is a work of art all by itself, there are not words that are fitting to describe this piece.

@Eric - very, very, very VERY nice! I thought the mini was going to be a 10 no question before I even saw the base, pity theres no 11!

@brokenblade - Thanks, yeah forge world do have a lot of nice things, I\'m thinking about doing a daemonhunters army soon and theres tons of great stuff for them on there. You get those ultramarines finished yet? :p

Eric - Truly inspiring, certainly something to be proud of.

Stef - I finished the space marines now, (including the display base), i was painting \'till 5 oclock this morning getting them done, as they\'ll be on ebay tonight hopefully, i also went along to the \"paint a space marine in an hour competition\" today, and won best painted marine category :p, but not the chapter master category, unsurprising actually as i did ultramarines :bouncy:, ill get pictuers up soon and put them in the submissions page.

brokenblade - Yeah I went in earlier but I didn\'t know about the comp. But then I really need to crack on with my entry for salute in 2 weeks that I\'ve not started yet so its probably best I wasnt there for long hehe.

Zenithal priming looks good but what do you use as primer.??
The inquisitor head looks chalky and Im assuming its the primer.IMHO.

No Tim its self made.
I was going to use a Groundforge one on my first SB mini for Pete but decided against it cos I didnt think Pete would want another companies product shown on his website pieces.
Its milliput stonework and a kitbashed plastic fence from my sons car toy sets;)

here is a WiP of my unit of Cold one Knights. This is the standard bearer, with obvious inspiration coming from Tammy Haye ... still I\'m very pleased with the way these turn out.
I\'m thinking of giving the faces another highlight but I\'m afraid this will make things too bright. Help me decide on this plse :)

The brushes are called Da Vinvi Meastro Pocket/Travel brushes.Finest kolinsky sable and the best brushes I have used by a mile.Havnt used w+n 7 though but dont expexct them to be better, cos there cant be any better in my eyes. And the tip screws off reverses and screws into the handle to protect it.
I got these given from Ralfmetal(thanks again Tom)they aint cheap, about 6 quid each but worth it.I use the no 1 for every thing the tip is soooo sharp but the fibres are big enough to hold plenty juice so it doesnt dry as quick.

@Klute so that\'s your secret eh...........
I wouldn\'t mind getting some of those myself they do look the business.
Ok I\'m at it again this is another Sacred Blade sculpt and this time I am trying a few more firsts. It is the first ethnic skin tone I have ever tried and I am also going to try and overcome my fear of NMM.

I\'m not sure if I like the red yet but well see on that one. I am also thinking of a bit of freehand on the back of the vest type thingy.
Watch this space as the saying goes. :D

Klute - might have to try some of those. I use w+n series 7 and im happy with them so no real need to change but I have nothing to lose hehe.

Tim - looking quite nice. The red looks ok. Im guessing that chainmail is nmm already? looks pretty good. I\'m curently working on nmm myself I\'ve steered away from it for so long :S.

Ok guys I need some help here. I\'m trying out this reflective NMM thingy and am not sure where to go with it from here or even if I like it yet. I read a couple of articles and I have the basic theory in my head but some of you out there are far more experienced at this sort of thing than I. I think the basic is right as I have it I just need to know where to take it or if I should scrap it altogether.

Remember though that I only have GW colours to work with so let me know yes or no and if yes what else does it need.

Thanks.

Youre going to be the death of me Tim:D

Skin looks great, mail looks great and the senmm looks superb.
The problem for me with senmm is that I dont think it looks as good when another part of the figure is normal nmm.
You going to do the rest of the armour sky earth.?
Going off your first attempt you will manage it fine.
Assassin is done,pics tommorrow.

EDIT remember Tim nmm senmm always looks better on the screen than in the hand, for me anyway. The pic you have there looks perfect, your doubts sound like its cos you can look at the figure from the \"wrong\" angles.
