Those things are tiny, its looking great so far. When you post it up, put it next to a coin or paintpot to show the scale, it will help your score no end.

@Astonia;

I popped over to your website to look at the other pics. Your blending on his loincloth is flawless. :eek:

He\'s looking really good!

@IPM - really nice work on you familiar. I looked at these things last weekend at the game shop and they are TINY... :) Can\'t believe the detail you got on her face, amazing!

Cheers,

i tried that whole dab of white on the lower lip and lost the lip, im using a 30/0 just to paint normally, its been a real pain.
Usually for that I try to find an angle from which I can hit the lips with the side of my brush. Since the lips are raised, it allows me to hit only the edge with no chance of wobbling off white paint to places where I don\'t want any. That\'s the way I paint all my edges really. Did you try that ?

thay arctic marine is beautiful! the eyes look fine to me, just need maybee a mighlight in the middle of the eyes to to make them stand out from the glow a bit, and apart from that! its basically flawless, with out having it in my hand to inspect i cant see anything wrong with it,

great job!! :D

I agree with mr. Mate here about the eyes. I\'m not sure I like the dirtied look on the armor, but that\'s just because I like clean things :D. However, the blending on the purity seal seems very rushed, which is surprising seeing as the blending on the cloth is superb.

This looks really nice! I like the blue tabard and the steel on the sword and boots are indeed very good. The eyes could do with some extra glow. As it is now, the light falling on the helmet below the eyes look brighter than the actual eyes. Also, as U4-Welcome pointed out, the purity seal needs more attention, but it is a WIP after all!:D I\'m really curious about what you\'re going to do with the basing. Got any plans?

Hello Provoke-me, i have an idea , but not of easy actuation: i\'ll make a base with a dead sister on the ground and the St. Celestine that is above it, something like she will leave as spirit the dead body of the dead girl.

Man, I never check these forums...it seems like the CMON people are actually into painting minis nowadays! hehe..
Okay, my latest...
vladdyboy.jpg

Needs some touch ups obviously, then the leather, then the fingernails and Ivory bits...which gives me a good idea of where to go with the fingernails actually, anyways...tomorrow I\'ll spend much of the day doing a freehand \"Pickchur\" on the back of cape. And a fine big cape it is!

His mascara\'s running because he\'ll only get a 7.4 when he\'s done because he\'s not a Rackham ...:~(

Heh, it\'s nice to post here, I can be a bit naughty...quite a change from the ultra-modded Reaper forums that I love so.
They deleted my post once because I used the word \"stripper\". I was referring to Citri-Strip...

@Darkstar :
Your gold is amazing.
The back of the cape looks like it could use a little more shading.
The black might need a little smoothing out of the transitions and it seems to me the highlighting might be a little over the top, even for leather. I\'d suggest reductin the width of the highlighet part on the top of his arm and reducing the intensity of the highlights at the bottom of his sleeve.
Personally, I would have painted the red part at the bottom (between his legs) black.
Finally, as a general and personal feeling, I\'m not sure the blue and red work together. Maybe if they were both darker...

Anyway, just my 2 cents, you do whatever you want :D.

Edit : @ TAB
The face you painted is wonderful. For the NMM? however, you need more transitions to make it smooth (picture might be at fault here). Usually I start with a dark brown and move my way up to an orangey-yellow then up to white. The key is placing the highlights in a logical and coherent pattern, usually as though the light came from straight above. If there\'s a tricky shape on the mini, try to find its equivalent in real life and see how the real reflection looks.

U4-Welcome, hi. Your advice is appreciated. Unfortunately I already finished this piece before reading your post. :( I probably would have painted the red part in between the bottom of the cloak black actually. Other than that, here\'s the finished dealy-O.

The gold hasn\'t been toned down, although it appears that way in the photo. I think my lighting went a bit south on this photo is all. Anyhow...Happy Halloween, Samhain, whatever, be safe, don\'t take any candy from strangers...wait, then what\'s the point? lol

Uh-oh Darkstar the final result is stunning! your style reminds me comics characters, very nice piece! Maybe i\'m crazy but i seem to notice some similitude with the \"Lobo\" comics style.
