Hello everyone,
This is my first post here in the forum and is to show my wip, i start painting about 3 years ago with a couple 6-month breaks . I appreciate any comments you might have, it is the last version of coleman stryker from warmachine. I attempted some sort of chrome effect on his sunglasses, let me know what do you think.

Sunglasses are spot on,make sure you put a close up of these on the final image though as they will be lost on the full shot.

Welcome to the forums! I like the look of the glasses also, Lukhan. Are you going to go with a some snow on the base? I think that might enhance the effect as well.

Edit: Quick question for those much wiser than I...if he did do a snowy base, would the sunglasses need to be white on the bottom part of the glasses to accurately show the reflected light coming up from the ground, or is the way he has it now be more realistic?

Thanks a lot for the comments and the welcome to the forums, i will try to post often. About the snow i really dont think i will use it for this particular mini, yet you got me wondering if i should or not. Might not match with the sunglasses tho.

I know more people who wear sunglasses in the snowy months than during any other time of years...All that white glare is perfect for sunglasses! (you did a great job on them btw)

I can tell you that sunglasses are very usefull if your out on a sunny day with lots of snow. When the sun reflects on the snow it gets really bright. Especially if it\'s 30 below zero (celsius) and everything is just sparkling with icey crystals.

I agree that the sunglasses and a snow base would go together really well. I used to go Iglooing in boy scouts and one thing we learned is that on a brite snowy day it is twice as bright than on a summer day. If he was in the snow, HE would be wearing sunglasses because he would not want to have snow blindness.

The glasses would be fine as they are with a snowy base, which in my opinion would look great with the colour scheme you have. The ground reflection in the glasses would contain everything ie,snow,roads,rivers,buildings,.....so all condensed into the bottom halve of the glasses would be kinda grey I reckon.
Nice one.:D

wekcome to the forum dude! good to have a new member on board, the glasses look awsome and really fit in with the snowy theme, as when ski\'ing u need sunglasses because of the glare from the snow. cant wait to see it finnished, its looking very promising:bouncy:

I also plan to make the librarian from the game but as I don\'t own a copy I can\'t get a screenshot of him, if anyone has one I could really do with it in my email! Cheers!

Thx a lot Spacemunkie :) i\'m experimenting with pictures too as you can see :)
anyway i\'m quite satisfied by the outcoming of the mini.
Very very honestly is not my style of painting, i even don\'t like to paint this way, but i wanted to show something to myself: if i don\'t paint always with this style is because i don\'t want and not because i cannot do it, i think i\'ve reached the goal but as always will be cmon to judge (and you for the paintathlon :D )
