I thought that when I put them on but its very restrictive if I want to sell casts.
Im thinking of strapping on his hands like Van Damme in Kickboxer:eek:
:idea: sculpt separate boxing gloves and sell them with the mini as \"alternate hands\"! Might garner you a few extra sales...

...I will dry sculpt the hands from the blobs.

You can do that??? How?

There is no armature in the hand so wet sculpting the GS just pushes it about.Waiting for it to cure then using my exacto and other finger slicing gear I can \"dry\" sculpt the hands into a base shape.Leave this to cure and it provides a good solid base to \"wet\" sculpt the detail.

Nearly finished. Just need to add a number to his shoulder plate, repaint the sensor lense and targeter green, then finish the base.

Wow, he looks great! These guys are so cool I really want one but they only come in three-packs :( Such is life I guess. They actually remind me a lot of an anime called \"Jin-Roh\":

@Sturmhalo, That\'s looking really nice, but I think the extreme highlights on the packs on his back look a bit too sharp and sudden.

Heres my WIP. I\'m thinking that I\'m pretty much finished, and I\'ll probably base him and post him tomorrow, but I\'d like to know if anyone sees anything that could be bettered.

@Seb:
I love your nmm gold... maybe a bit bright overall, but it works. However, I think your white metal might be a bit under-shaded and lacking a bit of definition (but then I like minis on the darker side and know squat about nmm, so go figure). The green belt ... dunno... might bring the mini together nicely if you had some green on the base, I guess... otherwise, it\'d seem a bit off... But then again, that\'s just my two cents. I mean, look at my WIP, It\'s not like I could teach anyone :rolleyes:

Thanks for the comments. I agree with you about the metal NMM, I should have started darker, and I should have painted pure white on smaller areas. It does look better in reality though, I\'m going to try taking a better pic for when I post it. The reason I painted the belt green was because I was planning on putting a thorn pattern on the cloak, and thought it would tie in nicely, but I\'ve lost motivation with this mini and would rather start painting another, so... but I might come back to this mini and paint it on at some point in the future (yeah right! :rolleyes: ).

Looks good Sebrushworth! I agree the white metal could use some additional shading. The recent submission of this monochrome miniature mentioned by Dragonsreach here is a great example of additional shading. Otherwise, I think you have done great on the gold NMM.

@seb
I think you should finish it! :) It looks very smooth and nice and it\'s not that difficult to fix a slightly darker tone on the steel. Use very thinned down glazes (preferrably with flow enhancer or glaze medium) and use as many layers as you see fit. Small chance of fu**ing things up! :D You\'d have to apply the white highlights again, though, but then you could be a bit more restrictive and not put white on too large areas.

Or, you can go ahead and start another one! That\'s what I usually do... :innocent:

Thanks for all the comments :) I did as Ritual suggested as put some dark glazes over it and then redid the white highlights, and I think it looks much better. Thanks Anders! :)

That\'ll do the trick, I quite liked the original but it was sooooo pale! At first it looked only half-finished.

Here\'s something I just \"finished\" - at least I think it\'s finished but I want to know what people here think of it before I post it. Also if the pics are too dark/light let me know.

Nice and dirty, NSA. I might suggest a bit darker shading on the underside,eyesockets and in the mouth, but otherwise I like it. :)
