Well no sooner is one mini finished (the minotaur) than another is started, I started him today and this is how he has progressed. I am quite pleased overall with the look.
I have always liked Thrud and the Heresy model does it complete justice.

Hello everyone! I\'ve been painting some space marines and learned a lot. Heres my newest work, which isnt going to be posted on CMoN, as its just a fast test piece. The yellow parts are done, green parts are about 75% done. The scraches are painted in \"cyril\" style and all the small edges are highlighted (the camera didnt do that). I\'ll propably go for NMM on the metallics.
Tell me what you think, what to add/remove etc.

Wow, there are so many great minis here.
Here\'s what I\'ve been working on for a bit. A Troll Chieftain. I hope to get it done in the next 2 weeks. There\'s obviously a lot of work to do... on the skin and things. I think it\'ll look a lot better once it\'s finished, once all the armour is done in NMM. I\'m going to do an inscription on the sword in black speech. The sword isn\'t actually in the pic.
So, what do you think of it? How could I make it better?

corpsicle...which company makes that? looks awesome.
Rhode - i like that space marine colours...a bit smoother and i think you could put him on CMON, espec if you add a bit of freehand to him
jabber - that does look nice- those pics do show the difference. i\'m still thinking one last darker wash for the very recesses but what do i know
griffo..the photo looks dark so hard to tell the head/hands, etc...those areas...more hilightes maybe? maybe some cuts/scrapes on the legs and flesh areas?

StarFyre, I haven\'t actually painted the hands yet, they\'re still black, and I\'ve only given the face a basecoat. So maybe that\'s why they\'re hard to make out. But I will try brightening up the pics later. And I\'ll try out some cuts and scrapes. Thanks for the suggestions.

I will add freehand on the shoulderpads, but as i said its really just a fast training piece. I have couple of more important projects to be done so this marine serves as a training piece for several new things.

sorry for the large pic. but its my first \"small\" head sculpt! i think its 1:6 scale.not sure tho. yes it not perfect, but im getting closer to awesomeness!
