Yeah I figure he needs another lighter touch. But he is in the sun a lot. There are actually multiple highlight stages, the fff+ink glaze turned out way shiny in the picture, on top of my poor photography skills with the lack of a light box haha.

Ok after however long I have been around, I finally have broke down and have taken pics of my newest WIP. This is just a test of the camera pics. Just click the linky as I can\'t get it posted straight up. Noob in the way of pic posting.

A long while back I had inspiration for a super heavy self-propelled artillery tank for the Imperial Guard. I finally figured out all the calculations and size stuff. So I have started the build. So far I have built the main gun and started to build the guns elevator and de-elevator??...yeah maybe thats the word. The barrel was a pain since I took it from a different model than the working parts. Oh if you wondered the gun is from a WW2 german artillery thing. Plus having a big seam is a pain to get filled good. So after all that explanation. Here is just a preview of the gun\'s size and I will post another pic sometime next week.

Edit: to help Mrteal I\'ve put the picture link in for him (DR) Thats a big chuffin gun!

Lots of good stuff going on here as usual, well here is an update and a pic which is a little better, I have now gotten her on a base and done some of the clothing though I have not quite finished the blue areas yet.

Damn that is looking sweet Tim. You just keep cranking them out...now I\'m looking forward to seeing her finished.

BTW, is that one of Scott\'s bases?

Cheers,
Grumb

Thanks Grumb, yes that is one of Scott\'s bases I could notthink of anything off the top of my head and I have a whole bunch of Groundforge bases in one of my drawers that I just went and picked the first one that seemed to fit with her.

Been playing with snow bases lately. What looks like gloss is actually the sparkle of the snow (baking soda). As usual, my photographic skills (or lack thereof dampens the final outcome).

Thanx DR for the fix. I am not sure what I was doing wrong. I put the URL in the insert image button thing and it still didn\'t work. That and it is small enough to fit 100 k and less than 600 pixels. Gaaaaa!!!!!:flame: So simple and yet when it comes down to it I am still a dumbaz when it comes to posting. Stupidity comments welcome.

Besides all that,
tidoco-I just gotta say you are one fast and dedicated painter. Looking good.
EP-Lookin good.
Tagger-Great crumb effect....otherwise all I would say is the base is kinda funny lookin. But its just a WIP.

@TAGGER - going to do black fur on that direwolf....good luck with that...let me know if you figure that out!

Here\'s an update on the Griffin. I was trying a wing pattern similar to Sturmhalo\'s. not sure if I\'m going keep it or not... let me know what you all think...

Please note that the feathers have only been basecoated, don\'t jump on me about shading and and highlighting, hasnt\' been done yet till I settle on the base colors. Besides, RedDawn has already done it for you... :D

@grumb LOL thanks for the support  Hey you obviously are damn good at fur, if you have any tips please share, black just seemd right to me for this guy, i mean i guess i could try a diferent shade but where the fun in that?
As for your wing question i like them but the white outter feathers draw the eye to much tho if thier not shaded etc id have to see a further progression to make a desicion

I know that I posted it and stuff, but I\'m thinking of improving on my marshal. This was my entry for White Dwarf Day Vancouver in the Youngbloods category. Heres the link . Post your feedback on what\'s hot and what\'s not. Thanks
