Thanks Tony. I fancied doing a bit more with the sergent than \'bog standard\' table top. I know it aint GD, but I read on a tutorial that you can only truly improve in painting by pushing your own bounderies.
I actually used a slightly different technique on the freehand stuff. Tell me what you think to it...
I\'m painting the design on top of about 3 thin layers of gloss varnish, which allows me to scratch the excess green paint I dont want off with a wet wooden toothpick, thus restoring the paint colour with 0% varnish damage. I then seal it all up with another thin coat of gloss, then paint on Vallejo matt varnish to finish up (I dont want to do that till I\'m 100% happy though!)
I\'ll get a fresh shot up tomorrow so you can see the result, if you\'re interested.

P.S. The face and the knee pads are the only painted bits so far dude! I\'d hope they are the only bits that are any good, otherwhise my primer would be doing a better job than me lol
