Dark Elf Noble I\'m working on. It\'s a minor conversion of the Selafyn model, with Malus Darkblade swordarm attached. Don\'t know if I should go on painting it. Something bugs me about the mini, but I don\'t know what.

Thanks Scott, purple is not a colour I use very often, so I thought I would give it a go and see how it would come out. On a larger model it is even harder to make look half decent. Also the hood is giving me real strife as it has that cracked worn leather texture sculpted into it which makes it a pain to try and highlight so I have just done lots of wet overbrushing and then washes to try and get a worn leather effect. It actually looks slightly better in the flesh than in the pic but not much.

I really like the texture of the piece - it works especially well, I think, on the flames.

ogrebane were you just trying to comment on the nice dragon or the one I finally figured out how to post which is blurry. again thanks to ogrebane for the help.DD
@War- The freehand looks good, I am not a fan of the templar symbol though. The red in it doesn\'t work for me.
@Demon Hunter-Try to get a brighter photo, it\'s too hard to distinguish the details from that picture.
Continuing my push towards the top 100 by the end of 2006 I have started work on my next couple miniatures... (while still working on the chaos knights and the such)
Obviously these are both very much so still in the beginning phases.... Once again working on it section by section and not moving on until I like each section.

@EPStudios- I wasn\'t too sure on the red, but thanks for letting me know. I was originally thinking of having the red a bit darker so it doesn\'t stand out as much. I\'ll give it a try. BTW, you\'re cape looks hot.
@desertdragon1964- Like ogrebane said, put something plain behind the dragon and either move the camera back a bit so it can focus on the model. But so far the model looks pretty good with the color combo, just don\'t like the white on the face though.
