No, they have bronze, silver and gold. How many that gets each award is decided by how many that are deemed worthy. That\'s the open system. You could have 20 golds or none in a class. This system generally leads to less bickering from the crowd and less randomness from the judges. It also means you don\'t actually compete AGAINST the other painters, as their work don\'t influence the judging of YOUR entries (except, possibly, for how the judges set the bar).Originally posted by ScottRadom
Thanks Anders!
But they still give put a First, second, third style trophy to winners as well, correct?

Okay, this is maybe not a fair question to ask, but I\'ll try anyway.
Would there be a fiar comparison to the CMON scores for the Gold, Silver, Bronze score ranges?
Like, is bronze roughly an 8, silver and 8.5 and gold over a 9?
I am not completely hung up on the scores or any of that jazz, I just like to have goals to shoot for. And \"just paint to your best and make your best better\" is a great zen like sort of philosophy but I do likes my hard and fast kind of goals to aim for.
In a perfect world I\'d liek to paint up one of GenerulPoleaxe\'s mini\'s for this event. He\'s been really great to me on here and I would sure love to do a great job and achieve somethign with one of his models. That 54mm orc is great!
No! CMON scores mean nothing at all! Sure, a 6 on CMON wouldn\'t get a gold, or probably anything at all, but you can\'t say a certain CMON score would give you a certain award at a show like this.Originally posted by ScottRadom
