Is it about North American Union?

Zeitgiest... Just another conspiracy movie... :) watch the entire flick. Quite entertaining but not so hard on facts. Some parts are quite interesting though.

Conspiracy movies are great fun, if you can take them with a grain of salt.

Zeitgiest does have some very interesting points to it. And some compelling evidence, but since I don\'t know all the facts of some of the topics it hits (especially of the church) it is too easy for me to \'fall\' for it.

It\'s almost 2 hours long, but it is ALL researchable to be FACT!
I\'m not trying to peddle propaganda, I\'m not a wacko conspiracy theorist.
I am a former Marine, I am not a robot in disguise.
I have an IQ in the top 8% of the world, and I know better than to think out loud...but this is something I think most people don\'t know, and/or don\'t WANT to know.
And it\'s no wonder why other countries don\'t like us, their governments don\'t want them to see that THEY are doing the SAME THINGS!

Screw this, I won\'t mention it again, but it IS happening, and if you don\'t know, it IS YOUR OWN FAULT!!

That\'s it!! I\'m going to start buying ammo, a new box every week.
And water, and *urk* MREs.....

The topic I know most about on this one is the one about the church... and well it\'s filled with mistakes, half-truths and changing the causality. It\'s not very good at all, I\'m afraid and that\'s why I have difficulty taking the rest seriously as well. It\'s just another kind of propaganda...

They mix really absurd arguments with compelling evidence.. But the same \"evidence\" can perhaps be used to prove another point if you take away the garbage? It\'s all about authority I guess.. what you choose to believe in.

As Supervike say.. I don\'t know enough about it.

But the thought of a giant conspiracy is absurd. Even if there are people for different reasons working for say a world goverment.. the cover-up defy reason in how large it would have to be. And why the heck would a movie like Zeitgeist stay up on a server for 7 month?? The World Goverment doesn\'t know any cunning hackers?

The world is pretty f*cked up when you see what they really say, what they actually on the record have said. No need to invent new things.

ah. my two cents.. :)

There is a romantic notion that there are shadow governments and a secret cabal that runs things...

I mean it makes a great backdrop to stories, gaming scenarios, movies, etc.

But then, reality check time, and you realize folks with huge money and time can barely do things they are trying to do.... like make a Operating System like Vista run properly. Or package the same amount of hot dogs as they do hot dog buns....

The red tape alone in the Bureacracy that is our government would strangle even the most stout souls.

I get that the media is bent and the truth is ugly, and the world needs to wake-up! Get involved on an individual level.
Religion needs to stay personal and not political...etc.
But I can only take so much without my head exploding....

People who make these movies simply have absolutely no idea, no freaking clue, how difficult it is to organize even a simple covert action without it being leaked half way into the early planning stage...as a piece of cheap entertainment may be it is passable, but only if you are bored out your wits

I\'d say it\'s more like \"the ultra wealthy and ultra powerful are constantly operating in their own best interests, sometimes in opposition but often in perfect synchrony. No \"conspiracy\" is necessary - amoral rich people are often friends/business partners with other amoral rich people. The Smoking Man meeting with aliens in a poorly-lit mahogany Star Chamber is not required for the \"little people\" to get screwed, over and over again.

There was once a conspiracy to overthrow the US Presidency, and install a military dictator backed by major corporations. It was secret until they actually tried to DO anything - the first military man they approached ratted them out in about five seconds. My point is not that America was very lucky that day, it is that even entities as powerful as US Steel, DuPont, and General Motors can\'t keep such an important plan secret.

I recently read an interesting book titled \"The Shock Doctrine\", by Naomi Klein. If you want to learn about unseen forces shaping the world around you for their own gain, it offers a very fact-based journalistic examination of the economic theories and forces behind ongoing attacks by ultra-capitalists on government \"by the people and for the people\".

YOU obviously have no idea how EASY it is to operate in a covert manner, and how OFTEN it is perpetrated.

You need to realize HOW MUCH of what you know, is fed to you.

this is the same stuff i saw when i was in high school and watched a \"general\" talk about the different sect0ors of the u.s.

its just silly.

I already mentioned it somewhere on CMON Before... Zeitgeist is there to be watched...

And in the end the truth (from my point of view...) lies beyond the movie (you have to read more to try to understand everything and more the movie tells you...), but it is a great way to start with...

This is not about conspirations... it is about the only true, big conspiration there is... and you have to be blind not to see it...

And the leaders we see are the STICK which the Marionette Players use... this movie goes for the stick quite much... cannot focus on the Players... because it would be too disturbing to tell...

Jester, you make me laugh, then again you are a jester. Since however you are apparently a local expert in covert operations I bow my head down and prostrate myself before your wast knowledge.

PS. I do agree with their conclusions though

When I was on my rich uncle\'s gray yahts (USN). Where we were headed next was a big secrete. So if you wanted to know, ask the local prostitutes, they always got there ahead of us.

Bush is (in one breath) too stupid to have graduated college, bought his way into being president; but (in the other breath) is a major player in the super secret society of the skulls.

As much as the media hates Bush, do you think they would really let him sign a new NAFTA treaty with this sort of stuff in it without roasting Bush for this?

@Jesterz, small ops were pretty easy to carry out - most of the time. Fewer people in the loop = fewer leaks. Try to do a multi-national conglomerate of several multi-national coperations and see how far that goes without someone asking questions.

Want to really scare yourself? Each US corp must file an annual 10K report. Part of this report is the list of the major shareholders. Start reading those names. You\'ll find it to be a very small list with many names duplicated.

Alternatively, take a look at Boards of say Fortune 500 companies, compare names, count how many people left after removing duplicates

And conversely, some of the largest shareholders in North America are groups like pension funds and RRSPs etc - in other words...

Us.

I think WE need to start seeing past dividends and quarterly returns, and start thinking about the real impact our investing has on the world, even as far removed as the effect can seem from ourselves. I am seriously considering transferring my RRSP to a more \"ethical\" portfolio.
