Xbox 360 sucks!!!!

You think it will such a failure as the DS? ;)

I wouldn\'t say the DS is a failure it\'s out selling the PSP.

And PS3 will have lesser graphics

Not sure where you got this from PS3 will run games at 120fps twice as much as the 360. Plus the PS3 has a faster GPU.

no harddrive

not at present but is far more upgradable than 360

And dont get me started on the Nintendo Revolution...

All i can say is have you seen the potential for the controller. This has the ability to turn gaming on it\'s head.

But of course the ultimate gaming machine is the PC, superior in every category, just a bit heavy to carry around.

I know that, I even have one myself ;) But it\'s a fact that the DS was prophecised to be the next virtual boy and that the PSP would be the new ruler on the market.
At the moment people are seeing the Revolution crash and burn too.

Now everybody make the connection yourself ;)

I for one think the Revolution has an awesome concept and I am sure I will get one as soon as they are available. Targeting the \"untapped\" market of casual gamers while still satisfying the serious, hardcore gaming geek worked incredibly well for Nintendo and I hope this trend will continue ;) What about the last three generations of consoles? Everyone was basically the same. Sure, one had a better processor than the other. So what? Perfecting digital eyelash rendering and animating a policeman throwing up in 5 million steps hardly qualifies as an interesting concept.
I have to admit though that I don\'t care for graphics. I usually concern myself with the gameplay and I even bought Wind Waker eventhough I think the graphic style is incredibly ugly and not suited for this particular game. Other people might wet their pants for being able to discern every pore on the skin of that victim they just shot in the head.
Don\'t get me wrong, I like good graphis. Starfox Adventures had incredibly well done fur. The Getaway for the PS3 has screenshots that show an incredibly detailed city which I mistook for an actual photograph. But all graphic power in the world can\'t help you when the gameplay is as interesting as watching your fingernails grow.

Ahem. Well, I made my point.

There was a game called spyhunter for nes with pong as an easter egg. If you won against the computer, you started the game with 20 lives. If you lost. You got 1 shot on the continue.

As far as the Xbox goes, I\'m waiting for PS3. The main offering, personally, of the PS3 is backwards compatability all the way back to 1996. The backwards compatability of the Xbox was almost an afterthought. Thats why its a patch in NA and not yet available in Europe. All of the people I know who have one either work for Microsoft or are mooching off someone who works for Microsoft.

I play mostly computer games. The only games I have my console for is GranTurismo. I purchased my first playstation for GT2. My PS2 for GT3. And I will purchase my PS3 for GT5. (Burnout Revenge ain\'t bad either)

It wouldn\'t be so bad, but I could build a screeming fast computer for the same price of one of these (with about 200GB of hard drive space). That also includes an All-in-Wonder Video card, so it would truly be a multi-media machine. For a couple more bucks you can invest in a cordless mouse and keyboard and watch por... I mean play AWESOME games on your 6\' TV screen.

On the surface it seems like a good little machine, but when you compare it to a real computer it\'s a no-brainer.

Since I spend so much time doing actual work on my computer, and use very heavy duty graphics programs, I tend to optimize them for that and don\'t game on them. I have always prefered consol gaming, I guess it doesn\'t feel like work as much.

I have heard many bad things (even more here) about the 360. Been a PS2 guy for 5 years... I think I\'ll wait for the PS3. I also am not a huge fan of MicroShaft anyway, they tend to bring products to the market before they are ready and have managed to embroil themselves in so many complicated systems, they never get all the bugs out.

Sorry to hear your expectations weren\'t met... am I surprised? Not so much, good luck!

X-box 360 is not really a next gen console in my view. It\'s an updated Xbox. Microsoft is trying to make a multimedia console, not a games console. Oblivion is going to be an amazing game, but just one in the line up of crappy, \'American\' games. It\'s really an American console. Japan won\'t sell over 1500 in one week. To illustrate: DS sells 40.000.

Just realize: PS3 isn\'t gonna be cheap. Sony anounced that officially. I guess the prizes are going to be double the Xbox360\'s. Say 600 euro\'s. The graphics will be way better than Xbox360\'s. Compare the Xbox and ps2 to eachother. PS3 and 360 have switched places. Photo realism FTW! Wait till 2007 though.. :/

Revolution is going to be cheap and Nintendo\'s next beautifull console. It has the ability to play PS3 and Xbox 360 games, so will posibly support titels. Because the Revo will have it\'s own unique games, it\'s likely that most gamers will buy it, although they have another console. Out before Thanksgiving.

DS being no hit? 1.000.000 online visitors through FREE WiFi connection (which Revo\'ll have too). Nuff said. DS is a hit!

Oh please, don\'t tell me Sony doesn\'t do that. Self-ejecting UMDs. Stuttering lasers. Sony\'s quality control is not exactly best of the best...

What? How will the Revolution be able to play PS3 and XBOX360 games? Surely you must have made a mistake there.

I mean devoloppers will have the possibilities to convert their games to Revolution, although the Revo\'ll have a totally different controller, you can use the old. That\'ll be more EA Games stuff on Nintendo\'s console\'s.

Great, give Bunjie more time to finish Halo3 on the PS3 release date!

MWAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA!!!

Amen to that brother!

In the end it is actually the games which make the difference not the consoles. Both 360 and PS3 will have kick arse graphics so it comes down to what type of games you want.

Just heard a rumor that PS3 will require a harddrive to play the games but it might not be bundled with the actual console. That sounds a bit mickey mouse.

Only thing good about that announcement is that it will be a worldwide release.

One thing that caught my attention when looking at the PS3, is that it will support dual monitor gaming. That is pretty cool, not that I have the set up for it.

Still wish they would make an official announcement about the HD. They won\'t say, but then the spec sheet shows it as Sold Separately. So there is still speculation.

I really hope they don\'t do what they did with the PS2, where they release the HD and then pull it so it\'s only good for one game (not that I don\'t like the game, FFXI is great, look for Gilvanblight on Lakshmi).

ah\'hem....

either ur talking poo or the american version is poo....

my mate has one, its quiet, fast, plays old games (u need a HDD to do so), plus 20gigs is more than enough as xbox saves are tiny, the games are good e.g. PGR3, call of duty 2, ghost recon 3, can upload images and mp3\'s off non-MS products including creative, and the controllers are realy nice.

although i have a feeling that the ps3 will own, although why would one need 7 wireless controllers....

please forgive me for my rant but its needs defending as its a good bit\'o\'gear....:innocent:

Faithfully resurrected in the classic Lesbian Tennis on www.viz.co.uk. You MUST check it out, seriously. It\'s in the games section i believe. What a corker! (Finn, I blame you for that site. I\'d forgotten all about Viz till you pointed it out the other week). lol

Sorry, but I have one and the f*cking thing is noisy, it only plays some old games, Whilst 20G is okay for gamesaves it is UTTERLY PATHETIC for a machine that purports to store music and video. The games are complete crap and most can be had in PS2 version for £20 quid less, it does NOT RECOGNISE either of my Creative MP3 players and the only thing that is keeping it from being eBayed is the fact that I have managed to link it wirelessly (at great cost) to my PC so I can stream my MP3 music collection into the lining room. I would be delighted with this if it wasn\'t for the fact that the sound quality sucks!

It isn\'t a great piece of kit it\'s a pile of shit, I know, I own one....:duh:
