\"With all due respect\" -- or in other words, you apparently aren\'t due any and you\'re about to understand that once I\'ve said my piece...

\"OH SNAP!\" -- Seriously? I hope you die screaming in a fire. Alone. And that no one shows up to your funeral.

\"That\'s hot!\" -- Just don\'t say it. Unless it is. Then say it. But only then.

What the hell else could it be, something other than what it is?

I\'m gonna stick up for \"It is what it is\" mostly as I use it at least 6-40 times a day. I use it in response to underthought questions mostly. A staff member holding up a box of ground beef and asking \"What is this\" will get an \"It is what it is.\" right back at them.

Too many times I get people saying dumb stuff like \"What\'s a porkchop like?\" and they get \"it is what it is\". \'Cause then you\'re beating them at their own retarded game!

And Wiccanpony, if I ever decide I need to go out swinging from this world, I\'ll look you up. I think I\'d love to be \"coked to death\". I think you get a special parking spot in heaven right near the front if you go out that way. Or maybe I just need to Indian Leg wrestle Belushi for his spot.

???why Scott?, are you trying to tell me something......:p:moon:;)lol

Hey, I\'ve never even tried illegal drugs, not even pot. But I figure, if you\'re gonna go, never a better time to start something then at the end, right?

Then if I don\'t like or know the answer I can say some random thing and say \"Darn, they didn\'t match.\"

Every time I get \"You are what you eat\" I do like to ask them why I have not turned into an infant/cute cuddly thing of choice yet:twisted:

\"I\'m not racist but..\" - you\'re racist, and you\'re about to say something so racist that I will want to choke you to death with your own small intestine.

\"No offense, but...\" - you\'re about to offend me, probably in some deeply personal way.

\"Mistakes were made\" - you have screwed up, massively, you know you\'ve been caught, and you think you can brazen your way out of it. This phrase always makes me think of Carter Burke in \"Aliens\", and we know what happened to him.

\'Quantum Leap\', ever since I found out it refers to a really small change inside an atom and not the massive change nearly everyone thinks it means.

Oh, and \'Can do attitude\':cussing:

When people post on forums like cheezburgercat, that bugs the hell out me. I mean, sure the images are funny and it\'s cute when your girlfriend does it in person, but damn annoying to read all the time.

\"I can has your handz off mah necks nao? ur hurtin mez, oh god oh god let go please I\'m serious you\'re really starting to choke me.... gggrrrggghhhh....\"

Oh... hahaha, you would hate me. My GF and I often find ourselves using l0lcat-ese in regular conversation, for dramatic/humorous effect. Her less so... but she still does it.

\"Oh you\'re home, when are you going back?\" usually said when I return home after 6 months away by relations not seen in an even longer time :flame:

Or the other one that really grips me \"I hear what you are saying\" usually followed by \"but\" and means despite your experience on the subject by have no intention of listening to your suggestions or help but will go with their stupid idea regardless of the fact you know damn well it will fail.

Just got one phrase from a colleague I work with in a project:
\'Don\'t think, just do it.\' (german: Nicht reden, machen!)

Oh right, we just DO things so that it looks like work even if it\'s absolutely pointless and doesn\'t lead us nowhere! Ahhh, thinking is overrated... :drunk:

\"Kudos\". I realize it\'s only one word, not a phrase, yet when it\'s used, it\'s like a homing beacon to who I get to kill slowly.

\"It\'s always in the last place you look\" I\'ve heard Carlin talk about this but it\'s been a lifelong thing that bothers me. of COURSE it\'s in the last effing place I effing looked. After I found it, do you really think I\'m a big enough dumbsh*t to honestly CONTINUE looking?

\"You need to find God\" No what I need to find is gainful employment. What I need to find is a website that sells Games Workshop minis at a buck each. What I need to find is my copy of The God Delusion.

\"Oh you\'re from Detroit, you must Love Eminem too, and ICP and Kid Rock too!\" I\'m from Detroit, which means I listen to Bob Seger and Iggy Pop, not mutants. (bet thats the first time Iggy Pop got out of being called a mutant)

\"I don\'t get British Humor\" then we have nothing further to say to each other.

\"Is the Coast Guard really one of the military branches?\" Yes it is, and it\'s taking every ounce of my will to not knock your molars into your throat you twit.

ok those last few were just things i hear a lot, not necessarily sayings.

\"Remember the Reason for the Season\" Oh I love this one. Ok, how about ancient pagan celts and germanic tribes began celebrating the death of their seasonal god at Yule, what is now \'Christmas\' and it has absolutely no basis surrounded the so called messiah. How about the fact that Yule can be dated back some 4000 years? Ok I think I\'ve remembered, now your turn.

Now I\'ll just list off sayings I heard in the military I\'m completely sick of... SEE IF YOU CAN GUESS THE MEANINGS!

\"You\'d better get a round turn on your life\"
\"Bravo Zulu\"
\"Lower your ears\"
\"Liberty is hereby granted to the standing duty section to expire no later than 0700 (date of the next duty day, usually next business day). All hands are reminded to check out with department heads before departing now Liberty.\" (love to hear it, but hate the saying itself)
\"To all witness these proceedings greetings\"
and of course the worst one: \"President George W. Bush is your Commander-in-Chief\" sends shudders down my spine.

\"I\'m not so green as I\'m cabbage looking\" Huh? What does that even mean? I have to confess, I love using these expressions in a sarcastic way. I think I\'d fall off my chair laughing if I actually heard any of the quotes given in this thread being used seriously.

\"Can I ask you one question?\" - Actually no, but you gonna ask anyway
\"Could/would you please <insert any stupid appeal you can think of>\"
Those rhetorical questions really annoy me.. especially when they come from persons who want to pretend to be polite (I like polite people, but only when they really mean it and not only use it as a mask)

this is the new \"unofficial\" slogan for the shipyard i work at. unofficial, unless one of the many (14, now) vice-presidents happens to say it when he/she is asked about some new fascist program to make the craftsmen less productive. like: now we can\'t use the elevators to get onto the ships unless we are carrying materials. but OSHA safety rules prohibit using elevators to carry material...

ahh crap. dgms. i try to stay hidden in my radio room, behind a locked door, so i don\'t have to deal with junk like that.

The whole \"can I ask you\" and \"got a minute\" questions don\'t bug me at all. II usually replay with a firm \"No\" or maybe \"No I\'m busy now\" and if they continue to talk finish with \"I already said no, what part of that don\'t you understand, if it\'s important enough to interrupt me then why did you even ask in the first place?\"

You usually just have to do this once per person to never get asked again, unless people really do have something only relatively important to say and then they leave when you say no and check back later with a \"do you have time now\"

Mines one I hear around work from time -

\"You new hires just don\'t know what us old hands have been through\" usually uttered by some low cranial capacity type who has spent the last year here at Camp Cupcake.

I love to burst their bubble with an explanation of how I really do know how much of an upholstered toilet this place really is - they don\'t want to talk to me much after that for some reasonlol
