They\'re more of a Mexican pastry, really. There are the meat empanadas, then there are pumpkin, squash, apple, etc. Pretty much they\'ll put whatever vegetable, fruit, or meat in them they feel like. I, personally, don\'t care for them.

Although I love Tex-Mex. Pollo Enchiladas Verdes con Frijoles Charros and Spanish Rice.

Basically they\'re spiced chicken rolled in corn tortillas (a Mexican flatbread made of corn masa instead of flour) with Monterey Jack cheese. These are topped with a green sauce made of tomatillos, serranos, jalapenos, onion, cilantro, and spices, topped again with more Monterey Jack cheese and sour cream. Frijoles Charro are refried pinto beans. Spanish (Mexican) Rice is a lot like Chinese fried rice, but cooked with tomatos, onion, green chile, and sometimes corn.

Serve steaming hot with an appetizer of Chile con Queso (Cheese with tomatos and green chiles so it\'s spicy, served as a dip for corn tortilla chips) and follow up with a dessert of sopapillas (a flour pastry often sprinkled with a cinnamon-sugar mix and served hot with honey).

British cuisine...

The best thing the British cuisine has contributed with, IMO, are the lovely salt and vinegar crisps (preferrably Walker\'s). Those are simply wonderful... Sour as hell!! :D

Sashimi is the hunks of raw fish without any rice.... you can get it at Yo! and is typically on an orange or pink plate...

I just remembered. There is one thing that I can\'t resist, like, ever: Scottish shortbreads. Especially the ones they sell at Sainsbury\'s (the \"suitable for vegetarians\" bit always amused me though :D )

What is up with you people? Doesn\'t anyone like a good ole normal pizza anymore? Zzzt!

Also love: self made burritos, self made porridge, self made blueberry/banana muffins, self made tomato/cheese/onion/ham omlette, self made pasta with tuna/olive sauce, self made greek salad with lots of feta(another feta fan here!), chinese food, Döner and Böreks, Rice Krispies(any kinds of Kelloggses really), gyros, and grilled cheese with BBQ sauce.
Feels like I\'m gaining weight by merely writing this...

And I think sushi is one of the most disgusting foods people have ever invented. Tried it once, almost puked and was sick for another 20 minutes. :|~

Raw fish or being close to minis, hard choice isn\'t it. Perhaps you could talk one of the Dutchies to bring a pot of \"rolmops\" when they go to GD? :D

Well, I\'m not coming to GD I\'m afraid, otherwise i\'d be happy to oblige. Still, should you come over to the Spellenspektakel this year I\'d be happy to drop by the supermarket for you. :)
