\"sour\", also used in names of stuff that is pickled. Like \"zure bom\" (lit. sour bomb - large gherkin).

Right! Tomorrow is \"Dönerstag\": Döner for 50 Cent at our local \"Dönerbude\" ;)

And I don\'t know why people find Leberwurst so disgusting, I eat it all the time. Mind you, I basically eat all the time full stop.

Except for Gypsy and sushi, does anyone have a kind of food he can absolutely not stand?
I ate \"vegetarian chicken nuggets\" once. That night I dreamt of hundreds of hippies forcing soy down my throat.
Oh, I so wish I was joking....

Well, anything with meat in it is out of the question for me... Other than that, I find parsley to be the best way to spoil a good meal.

Food I can\'t stand: Well there\'s the ever popular Tofu. Another terribleone is tripe. And I can\'t say I am overly fond of Rhubarb either.

The worst food I know of is a kind of fermented herring (yes... fermented) that is very popular in some parts of Sweden. I haven\'t actually tasted it, but it smells so incredibly foul that I can\'t really see the point in trying it. People who like it always say that it tastes completely different than what it smells like, but I don\'t trust \'em. Besides, nothing can be so delicious that it makes up for the horrible stench of the stuff. :|~:|~:|~

Something else I forgot - I haven\'t had a proper wee haggis in ages. Not the wierd stuff they sell at the chippie, but good, proper, haggis, with clapshot, the high quality stuff you only get during Burns Night.

*sigh* What I\'d give to go back to Glasgow again.

BTW, anyone here had durian before? The King of Fruits :)!

Yeah, I know what you mean Ritual ;) Never tried it myself either.

Since breakfast is my favourite meal of the day I\'ll have to say that some slices of nice, dark, bread with Gouda cheese and tomatoes plus two large glasses of coffee w/ milk. Aahh, that\'s the best!
For dinner, I\'m a feta fan as well as a sushi fan and I also LOVE thai food. And pizza, and...yeah I just love food, simple as that !:D

I\'ve had some while I was in Thailand, sweet but not my favourite. I prefered mangosteen. Let me rephrase that, I loved mangosteen! Breakfast in Thailand: go to the market and get a bag of mangosteen, rambutans and longans. Yum!! I miss that.

Talking about fruit. Question for the Spanish. Near Valencia I\'ve had a orange fruit that you had to squeeze in a special way to get the flesh out (or use a knife). Skin was smooth, it grew on trees and it was very sweet. Not related to oranges, could be related to peaches but it had a different shape.
Does anybody recognise this and know the name?

In fact, they aren\'t sold as an extra...they are the main course.....

Imagine:.. A huge plate of chips, freshly fried in lard, with about half a pound of grated cheese sprinkled on the top so that it melts and the whole damn lot fuses together....

Mmmmm...who could wish for more...;)

All you need to add to those cheesy ships would be some chopped bacon.

That\'s a heartattack looking for a place to happen, but what a way to go.

In Canada It\'s called Pooteen .
(Not to be confused with Potcheen! A totally different ingestion material.:eek::eek:) My Neice was going on about it all the time till we gave in and got colestralled up in Jasper.
Cheesy Chips W\'Gravy and Mushy Peas.

But a good old North of England dish is Pease Pudding!
(Yellow split peas, boiled and rendered down with pieces of bacon in to a paste and eaten either hot or cold). Delicious with Hot Dogs & Burgers.

Mmmm....poutine is one of the reasons why I love our french-canadians so much. Fries covered in cheese, swimming in gravy. *drool*

I\'m 15, so I like any kind of food within reach. Yeah, I could list off a shitload of stuff that I really like, so it\'s kind of pointless.

A couple of things that I haven\'t had for a bit that I miss are bannock, and beaver tails. Beaver tails are basically bannock that\'s been deep fried and covered in maple syrup and brown sugar. Mmmm...

my wife and I honeymooned in Canada, and we went to a pub that had cheesy chips on top of the thickest, tastiest steak I have ever eaten.
