Oh my! This looks like to much fun. I can't wait to find my own home and set up my airbrush. When I do I will be coming to you a lot with questions. All the bases are turning out spectacular. Hope you get better as well.

My good buddy insomnia has moved into my head for a few weeks and work is still busy and I can't shake the cold The Agent of Chaos gave me, but at least i've got some painting done. Digga, I have you base shaded and glazed down, now i just have to put some mid tones and details back and add powders and grass tufts and some water FX. If not for my health this base would have been done by now. Though i am kind of enjoying the relaxed pace. Maybe another 2 weeks for the base and a 2 weeks for the squig? No promises though.

I even did a little work on the RT era minis at the office during a lunch break and in the wee hours when I couldn't sleep...

At home today just dozing and painting... and dozing.
Cheers :)

Thanks all! Digga, I'll throw down some pigments over some of the base where there is dirt to give it some earthy texture. It'll be one of the last steps and will help tie the squig into the base later.

That Biggers-the-Squiggers base is really looking like the lair of something hungry, awesome work. The marines, for their part, are looking really clean and smooth. Are you following the same thing you did with the last marine, quick-and-dirty-yet-somehow-still-super-nice-looking?

Yeah, same technique but with TMM and some damage and wear to the armour. They will be on a ruined base from the second battle for Armageddon.

base looks great dude. I'm looking forward to seeing the squig in situ.

Beakies looking good as well. I can't help but get a huge nostalgia buzz when I see the old 80's beaky marines, to this day my favorite variant.

That solf look on those marines is very nice. Ah, nostalgia indeed. I have dozens and dozens of those oldskool beakies boxed up at my parents'. And remember thos techmarines with uni-visors and a sculpted hand on their shoulder pads?

*ahembut Blood Angels thàt oldskool should be terracotta, not red

Okay so pretty much done the base except for sealing with dulcote, adding some bloody clear red smears to the sign post and pouring the resin in that lower area in the front there. Am I forgetting anything there Digga? What do ya think so far?

So then soon it's on the the big bastard himself and then building an armature to secure the whole thing for shipping o_O

Cheers!

Great use of shadows for making the cave seem bigger Zab. to add a bit of detail and movement to the top of the cave how about adding either some birds or bats taking flight as chuckles stomps out?
