This is a GW Skaven figure that I painted for the local GW Hobby Center. I was told by staff that it is a "special edition" release in that it is available only via Direct Order via their website. The sculpt in itself is amazing and has all sorts of little details that I didn't notice at first until I got past the priming stage - things like the bare patchy elbows & knee, the tails of the dangling rats being tied together, the bare belly and wart on one of the dangling rats, and even the tiny studs on the trappings of the Warlord's skull headdress.
I tried using some new techniques with this guy, such as shading with glazes of alternate colors, and would especially appreciate feedback.

They're available for Direct-Order only through Games Workshop's online stores. The store I painted this for happened to have a collection of Special Edition/Direct Order figures and I volunteered because I thought it was such a great sculpt. |
