Khornate Warrior

Sometimes, the deranged thought-processes in my head lead to insights undreamed of: Let me tell you the tale of the Khornate Warrior: Once upon a time I sat there, thinking how to convert/sculpt my next Chaos Knight, (it was one of those phases, where the chaos moon drove me strongest, I think) and as I wanted to incorporate those coooool swords the plastic GW bloodletters have, it was Khorne´s turn to gain a new follower. As there were no legs I wanted to use out-of-the-box I set about sculpting some and thought about a naked breast (for the mini, of course!) when it hit me: Damn, he looks like a spartan warrior! Which in turn made me think: What exactly made those 300 Spartans (in the movie) tick? Wasn´t it Bloodshed, Honourable Death and so on? What did they build: a wall of the dead?? Which colours were quite traditionally khornate: Brass and red???!!! So…. Having identified Leonidas and his merry men as a Khornate Chaos Army the whole look of my mini was more or less defined: a crest on the helmet and a red cloak? Yessir. I refrained from a big shield, however… The mini is more or less a jumple of magic sculpted parts (legs, cloak etc.) and GW-plastics and some added accessoires (strands of plastic hairs, rings etc). As always, comments are highly welcome! Thank you for taking your time! Happy painting!

Well what to say: khorne 100%. After the nurngle chariot another very inspired mini. As for the chariot 10+++ for the conversion/scene and 8 for the painting. Keep 'em coming and happy painting to you too :)
