Spartan musician-slight conversion

Well my Greek army is growing... veeeeery slowly. ;) That'll teach me to do my diploma. No time for painting! ;) Still here he is. He is actually a member of an Athenian command group and he used to wield a toothpick... erm sword, but I cut it off, drilled the hand through and fiddled a small (well not that small :)) trumpet with green stuff and some wire. Next time I should buy the command pack with the musicians. Oh well. Comments are welcome and even desired! Especially comments on the cuirass. I just took vallejo ivory and white for it but I'm open to suggestions. PS The cuirass is not loaded with color as some might think. It seems very heavily loaded on this scan but it was the figure that had this texture. Unfortunatelly i could not get rid of it.

beer what? is that a spring break thing? :) thank you two for the comments so far. i think this dilema for a person that enjoys painting as well as playing is the worst thing. especially when one is not swimming in spare time. but i think i should speed up a bit. maybe go back to drybrushing for my phalanx rank units.

"And now we must perform the Spartan beer-funneling ritual." Such vibrant colours, if the whole army is done like this they must look great on the tabletop! (PS, if you ever want to finish, start painting them as 6's instead of 8's :))
