Rank and File Spartan
Well this is a bit older. It was done in the summer and it is posted now more as a photo experiment than a painting one. i've been scanning usually and i followed the tips on headblast designz for this photo but somehow i can't get the contrast and brightness right. i am not entirely satisfied with the painting either but he is rank and file so it's not that important that he is looking extremely well. besides since i've finished my architecture studies last february i have been trying to paint again and somehow i never like what the minis turn out to look like at all. i've been buying more aceton than paint! ;) so he is an attempt to get me moving a bit before my easter holidays in greece, that start tomorrow... hope i'll come back full of painting energies! still so much to learn!!! well comments on the photo and the paint are always welcomed... please try to overlook the fact that he is not based but he is getting to share a base with three (still unpainted) fellows of his and probably a dead persian (also unpainted! :() cheers phobos PS the guy will be gettinga new larger spear soon, even though he is carrying a more historicaly acurate 8 footer now. he'll look cooler with a longer spear though! yes, baby! size does matter! :)
