So I got some more toys to play with, thanks to kathrynloch and an unnamed chinese guy.
3 are actual Rackham minis, 1 is a recast. Guess which is which haha.

To prove I haven't been completely idle the last few days, behold:

Yes, I am quite ADD when it comes to projects. Mephiston still isn't done, Malya's robot is less complete than C-3P0 in the Phantom Menace, and there's no guarantee tomorrow won't see me doing something else. I've got the atomic bomb rider, and another idea after that, and today I just came up with a smashing one!

I need somebody to become my patron, like they had in the middle ages. You pay my room and board, and I paint minis and sculpt. Any takers? LOL

DUDE!
I am the same way!
The only thing that saves me is that I bought an airbrush and am forcing myself to paint my armies....
Table-top quality forces me to want to work on my projects instead...LOL.

Actually that's just straight GW Shining Gold. I wanted to put some other color on there to see how the skin was holding up. I'm actually going to darken that quite a bit, as I'm aiming for more of a dirty copper/bronze tone to the armor.

Cheers!

Thanks!

I actually tried something different. I did all of the skin with grey and white, and then use a very dilute blue grey to tint the whole thing. It worked out pretty well, I think.

So I have a bit of a dilemma, dear fans.

My original intention was to do the armor as a dull brass. Per Elly, I went ahead and painted all the armor bits black, as I was having trouble covering the surfaces with my metallic mix. the problem is, I like the black look. It's very drow. However, I'm not keen on the idea of trying to shade black.

So - do I A) do the original plan of brass, or B) do black (perhaps with brass trim - thanks Elly).

I'm really trying to avoid silver/iron/mithril/etc, since her skin is already grey.

Anyways, I got the chains done. I'm going for a rusty look, since I don't want silver.

Not sure how I feel about it. I could have gone the easy route and just highlighted all the edges, but since everything else is highlighted from above, it wouldn't look right if I did it that way.
