It must be Wargamesculptor's night off...
A pirate hat certainly get's me thinking. I don't think I can justify an actual pirate hat, but maybe some other sort of head adornment? like maybe an umbrella, or a canon strapped to his head? I have had a soft spot for giants as architecture since GW, or maybe Ral Partha had the giant carrying goblins with catapults on platforms on his shoulders.
The etched brass looks good, but I think I am going to see how far I can get with plants and what not. I did spring for some tiny sea shells though. Nice barnacles in that article too. I am a little concerned that I am going to do a bunch of work on a resin 'water' base and not be able to see further than a 1/2" or so into it. I really need to do a test run.
I found some nice images of hand thrown harpoons in this article about some native Alaskan whale hunters. Pretty interesting article too:

I think my harpoon is a little large but not beyond the scope of good story telling. The Anchor will get cut down a tad. I left it so it would be easy to do when I put it all together.
Thanks for the input everyone!
