dont even mention SENMM lol, my head still hurts it becomes a real PITA when you trying to paint more complex objects. looking good though i really like your colorchoices for the gold.

Skeletetts, I forgot about your dreadnought. Yeah I am sure that was a bit painful to paint. I think you have cursed me as the last week or so has been very slow going. I have all of the yellowish NMM in place and am going to get the grey NMM started and the bases blocked in and then give my self a little break before I finish these guys.
The yellow NMM has been taking forever... here is an update. Not nearly done but past the halfway point I think
Any tips or crits are much appreciated. (Just don't say you liked it better with the original colors!)

You say your about halfway, do you have darker or lighter tones to add ? I think it needs some darker tones to add to the contrast. So far looks like white gold and far better than I could do at this point !

I'm claiming bad pict, but I think I need to darken it down a little too like WGS is saying. I often lose the mid tone doing nmm gold. It's like all the color is in the highlight so i paint more and more of that. Also, I want it to look bright so I paint more bright colors instead of push the contrast...

Okay, have I have darkened down the 'gold' mostly, but still need to revisit it. I wanted to start work on the silver and I had couple of false starts, I tried to do some stippling, but it didn't work for me so here is how the 'silver' parts of the weapons will look. I am using my nice neutral grey to white recipe with black and nightshade purple added to the dark parts then glazing with Reaper's Clear Purple to get it how I want it. I think I might work a little bit of purple into the shadows generally if I ever get done with the NMM :skeleton:

I think the tour should include florida and NZ, I'm sure Diggs would agree.
The gold has benefited from being darker it was awesome before now it's better than awesome, sorry the srippling didn't work. The metal looks nice and rough with a few scratchs. Loom forward to seeing more.

I think you should push the idea of brass. Like you originally stated, it gives you some weathering options. Brass weathering is a lot like copper but more green, turqoise. Peridot alchemy, tho a TMM technical paint from Scalecolour, would look great if glazed on. Otherwise, take a greenish turqoise and glaze it on so that it makes the viewer wonder if they see it or not in places, thicker in others.
A little hurt that you changed the original gold cuz it looks so similar to my go to gold. Are you saying my gold sucks?

Just as soon as I raise the funds. Maybe I should start a kickstarter or something for my world tour. Until then it's going to be mostly limited to California.
It was awesome seeing Demi's stuff in person. As I said the other day, I really really like this latest project. The NMM seems to keep getting better and better.
