RIGHT! im going to cure myself of this painting OCD I seem to have come down with.

Im with megazord with this one - fed up of looking at this mini!,......... OK - Finished skin and sword just material to do.

Scrapping base (at the moment its just "look at the nice base and oh there's a man on the top!) so going with something more subtle, with cold tones as suggested.

Great sword fella! I think everyone was happy to finish their wolf. I felt pressure to do him and nothing else! Yours looks great. I've voted and I agree with Andy, youve been skanked mate!! Solid work sir.

What next?

Wonderful job but the photos are not showing him off and making him look as good as we know he is.

And I just had an idea for another discussion topic for the online mini painting hangout - PHOTOGRAPHY! At ReaperCon I took that great class with Michael Genet. I wonder if I could sweet talk him into joining us one eve.

That would be fun, informative and this mini would be very happy - along with 10 Ball too. lol!

Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent so I gotta go jot down some notes before I forget. And I voted not with the pic but what he truly deserves. Great job on this guy 10!

Thanks all for the kind comments.

Been working on my GD stuff so to have a break I started on a this fleet officer that ive been wanting to paint for ages. I love painting faces, to me its the life and soul of the mini.

Started with a tallarn flesh / dwarf flesh 50/50 mix for a base coat. Wash with scorch brown and dark flesh and just started the highlight with original mix with a bit of vallejo skin tone.

Top job on the face. Great blue and some nice blending on the centre of the jacket but a tad harsh on the highlite on the crease.

More progress, getting some good practice in on two brush blending. It takes a bit of getting use to but its worth it.

All painted with a W&N series 7 number 2

The blue was a mix of GW enchanted blue and Coat d arms royal blue (that i thought I would try out - picked up a bottle from a hobby shop that time forgot)
Not bad at all - good coverage, well worth a try.
