Much better axe very good; weird isnt it that the supposedly more difficult technique of NMM seems easier? I think proper control of shading with TMM is a hard business. Maybe we should be practicing the TMM now?

Lovely paint job only thing maybe would be to very finely push the highlites on the forehead and bridge of the nose, what do you think?

Will do. The problem with TMM is getting a nice smooth look on a flat area. Once you have acheived it no sooner do you touch it with another silver it looks painted on

I like this little fellow! He seems to be pretty small :laugh:.
I really like the painting style, on small surfaces, small details, good contrast and easier NMM. Looks really good!

Heya 10.

I like the NMM axehead, you've got your style down now and its showing through. Complete counter opinion from me here.....(in the pursuit of improvement) I would have forged on with the TMM. This way you will force yourself to improve that style rather than fall back on the NMM as a get out clause. Having both skillz in your paint box is a better situation to be in. All my opinion matey so feel free to ignore me lol

Cheers, he would be about half the height of a sm.
Still 28mm scale.

Super little mini indeed, and superb paintjob. I'm currently struggling with TMM also. It's tricky, but don't give up sir!

May I suggest something evocative of a pirate ship for the base?

Yep, going with a ship/deck type base. Was thinking of having some arrows sticking out
of his shield also to maximise his hard as nails image.
