great work 10ball i believe you are developing "a style" the greasey, dirty, mechanical, authentic, used look like the blending on the base.

Looks like convincing battle damage where a tyranid has been trying to bite him, god bless finecrap for giving that extra level of realism ;)

Through marine across the room the other night, so decided to practice some NMM on this little knight that ive painted before.

Done face again which has came out great and repainted cape with better blending. Armour base coated caltham brown and started blending up grey on sword (which looks a bit of a mess at the moment), a little project that is less stressful than that blasted marine.

Nice start. Good highliting on the cape, likey the face. Are you gonna go for the sharp caontrast gold or the more burnished effect?

mmm, not gave the gold any thought yet, will see how the armour comes out first. Might try the brown / orange / grey / blue NMM that sproket uses on his WIP.

oh I see you thought I was doing him gold, I ve just read it back over, sorry mate its my dodgy typing. Yep NMM silver all over :)

Big Boy NMM LOL, im not expecting to much seeing Sproket is a painting machine sent back from the future - the little knight might end up the same way as the marine.

NOTE:

For anyone (one being the word) following my marine masterpiece, he was undamaged from his little 'trip' and his WIP will continue. Thank you and please continue with your own painting projects ;)

lovely work. I really like those eyes. I can still see some brush strokes in the cape, maybe a little more blending with some filters.

Yes that sword is starting to look epic! You've got that sprocketesc style of steel nmm going on there! Hmm that's the next one for me;)

Yep, the whole mini has a carton feel to him so will try and do sparkles. The NMM is coming together nice, I know the lighting is probably wrong but for once im please with my progress. For anyone just starting out with NMM be prepared for a very long process :)

Three more hours along. Had enough today.
