Great ah kid. The skin tones and light placement are the best I've seen from you and well done on painting the eyeball. Looks hard as nails. ;)

@ skraal - Ive been looking at the same. I liked JRN 's version of this mini and he has deep shadows over the face, so I was trying to get that effect by really over doing it.

Andy, eyeballs...... many a mini has flew across the room because of eyeballs LOL

Had an idea for a base - Looked a bit naff at the top so I moved it around a bit. (the hand was sculpted by cassar :) )

Fair play man, remember though that you can still create shadows by using gradients of shadow rather than specific lines which would still give you that deep shadow effect - loving the base, looks tres cool! ;)

Started on the NMM metals. Im really trying for a more real steel looking effect, instead of the more unrealistic stuff ive done before. Dont know if its looking a bit dull?

It looks like you are achieving the effect you are going for. When you get the clothes painted it will really look good ( kind of blends with the primer at the moment)

I think that looks good for the steel and krule is correct, we'll know more once the clothes are painted.

Looks great to me the highlites and the mid tones look spot on for me though I would take the shading a bit darker.

Thanks for the comments.

There was something just not right, I think to much blue in the grey. I toned the blues down last night and gave the whole thing a lighter feel and tided up the paint job. Undercoated the other bits as suggested which has improved the look of the metals also.
If done right I find NMM gives you a real clean and bright looking mini but it takes LOADS of work.

Great work on that mini 10!! Don't know why but it makes me think D. Quixote de La Mancha... well, a meaner D. Quixote in this case ;)

Ah well Milosh you would have only have wasted it on things like bills and employing people in your local community were as now your hard earned money can go on benefits to those people who find work to stressful and prefer to stay in bed bless them. Welcome to the uk ;)

Cheers for the kind comments people.

@ Alexandra - LOL yep I see the resemblance but he needs a semi circle missing out of his hat.

Bit more progress, taking a leaf out of Sprockets book and REALLY taking my time and i think its making all the difference. This must be 30 hours work so far and im enjoying every second. The previous dwarf and this knight have been a real pleasure to paint, my advice to anyone losing there mojo is to pick a mini that you love! If not you will never paint to your real potential.

also put some water coming out of the sewer.

This is definitely your best work to date. Tranitions on the NMM are very nice, his left arm cloth area looks like it needs a few more glazes though as well as the area around his bare knuckles. :)
